I wish I had Mike Sigel here with me as I write this post about him because he'd probably provide enough material to write a cool pool dissertation.
Though Mike and Larry Hubbart did go on the road for a spell, Sigel's more known for his tournament play. He was on the front page of every single pool magazine for years.
Mike was the technical director for the movie "The Color of Money," and he can be seen in various scenes throughout the film.
One of the best articles I've ever read about Sigel was from Cigar Aficionado magazine. Check it out: The Poet of Pool.
It was kind of neat seeing him play pool this past weekend and for a spell had a commanding consecutive game win. Was it 30 games in a row?
He's can explain 50 different ways to make one shot, and he will be an integral part of the Magnificent 7.
