I sent in a Meucci cue to be refinished:rolleyes: They received the cue March 22.
They will not return repeated phone messages:eek: I talked to Barbara multiple times and she says I need to talk to Deron. Last Monday I spoke with Barbara and wanted to check the status of the cue I sent in for refinishing. Requested to speak with Deron to see if he had any suggestions for repair work on the cue, and what work they do when refinishing a cue. I have not been able to get a callback from them or a confirmation that they received my cue. When you call their only phone number 662-895-3220 their is usually no answer and if you leave a message they never return your call. At this point I just want my cue back and will let someone else do the refinish. Worst customer service ever

Good looking out for others. People on put a dollar amount on the cue, but fail to realize that a certain level of service backing you your cue has a value as well.

Viking and Samsara both are very responsive, and Viking, to their credit, refused to deal direct with me, but helped locate a reputable dealer.

I am very sorry to hear about your problems. I was a dealer for Meucci until last year, when as a dealer I started having the same problems. I would order on the average $1000 to $3000 dollars worth of cues wholesale. Which normally was 10 to 15 cues, depending upon the model.
I would have to send back 3 to 6 cues from every order due to factory defects ranging from warped shafts (I only ordered Red Dot shafts), warped butts, improper finish, cracks in the finish, and major rattles when the cue hit a ball.

At first they were very responsive, and then around the end of 2005, I had the same problems you are having. This company Sucks, they need to go out of business.

I hope you get your problem resolved, or at least get you cue back, but I would not hold my breath, you may turn BLUE!!!!!!

Oh and buy the way, when people say that you should buy American they are not talking about Meucci!!!!!!!!;)

Why in the world would you send it to Moochie anyway? Have you not read the horror stories others have had. I know of some who sent theirs back for simple stuff and had to wait over a year for a return. They just got yours....get comfortable...it'll be quite a while...if ever. I know of one gentleman that sent his in and over a year later they swear they don't have it...he's just out a cue. I'll go so far as to say you'll be quite fortunate if you even get it back. Good luck.

Maybe someone who lives in that area could pick it up for you and send it back to you . dont hurt to ask..I'm in calif. so i cant do it or i would give it a try.Where did you send it, I'm sure we have some AZers in that area.

Bob Meucci is as crooked a businessman as you'll ever have to deal with, bar none...!!! I returned a brand new Meucci original cue to him in October, 2005...YES, that was 2005...the cue was not to our agreed-upon custom specifications, and had several cosmetic quality issues as well...it was not signed or dated as it was advertised to have been, either...he was to have refunded my the original purchase price ($650.00USD) minus a 15% re-stocking fee...I have yet to receive my refund...calls, E_Mails, contacts from the BBB, etc., all have gone completely unanswered...!!!
This guy is a royal JERK...it's not wonder almost all of the correspondence regarding Meucci's work is derogatory...he deserves every bit of it, and more...!!!
He's a liar...and a thief...!!! Anyone who is in business, that would do his customers this way, will eventually bear the fruits of his illegitimate actions.

Yeah, it's sad that what used to be a good company has gone downhill so badly. I started playing with a McDermott, then moved to a Meucci Maximum. I loved the way Meuccis hit, and the quality seemed to be pretty good.

Nowadays, even though I like the way they hit, I would never own another Meucci, because of the bad karma Bob has injected into his business.

It's a pity..

Exactly Kevin. The black hole of Moochie would be my last choice.

I have zero quality cue repair/refinishes available locally. I often use Scott at Profecient Billiards for anything major or the original cuemaker. Use a qualified local person if possible or one of the fine AZBers around here....

It is really too bad you have not read the many posts here on AZ over the years about terrible quality and very poor customer service from Meucci.:( how they can continue to stay in business is something else.

Hope you sent the cue via UPS or Fedex so you can track the delivery. If you call and get thru to a live person ask for Mark Patrick - he is married to Bobs daughter. I don't know if he is still at the plant but he is/was high up in the Meucci food chain and may be able to get you some answers.

I sure hope you get your cue back. I have never owned a Meucci but when I was in the market a few years ago, the threads in this and other sites helped me tremendously in crossing Meucci off my list of prospective purchases.

I know one guy that has an old school Meucci. He told me he send his to them for re-tipping, etc. I'll have to ask him who he deals with there.

Good luck,
Craig

I love Meucci cues and if you don't want to buy one of my cues, by all means, buy a Meucci.**

**Disclaimer: I repair cues for a living. Send me all of your Meuccis for repairs. I would be more than happy to fix them, no matter what is wrong. :D

I have spoke with Bob on a few occasions, I explained that I wanted a Meucci thats played like a Meucci

He explained some of the cues ment to be destroyed ended up on the market. He recomended buying a Meucci Direct.

If you have a problem with Meucci talk to BOB.

If tha doesnt work, you need to take legal action.

Ratcues,

How much for a refinish on a wood to wood sneaky? It is a moochie purchased in about 1990. No dots, no bs, just a decent player that has some varnish chips/cracking around the joint.(think they were caused by breaking with it?)

I was finally able to get ahold of Deron at Meucci after 2 weeks. He said it should take about 2 weeks to refinish my cue. Will update everyone once I ( if I ? ) get the cue back. Worst customer service ever. I bought an older early 90's Meucci here on AZ. I really like the hit on the older Meucci's and the cue is a really nice model. Will post pictures and let everyone know how this plays out. I would never buy a new Meucci. You would think the best one to refinish a cue would be the maker of the cue... NOT... as far as Meucci is concerned. It was funny at the super billiards expo. There was a booth selling just Meucci cues and they were all factory rejects. I had McDermott refinish a D12 for me and the work and service was excellent !

$85 for a refinish without a wrap.
