Recently I bought a Revo shaft, 12.9 in great shape that was properly plugged and retapped by Paul Drexler to accept both radial and 3/8 10 pins. Also, at the same time Paul installed a g2 tip.

I paid $575 shipped and want it gone - it isn't my cup of tea.

I'm out of touch with Revo prices now and whether or not they are readily avail in dealers stock so my simple question is this:

What price will make this fine shaft that I have no use for sell fairly fast - or real fast?

fyi, there is no moist towelettes, lubricant, joint protector or croutons; just the shaft which is in pretty much perfect condition.

thanks,
brian kc

Wait did I read that correctly it threads well and tightens properly on both a 3/8-10 and a Uniloc brand Radial pin?

It seems you can ask pretty close to the market price at the moment since Predator have trouble meeting the demands. $450 maybe?

I’ll pay 425 shipped to Atlanta and send you PayPal as friends or Venmo right now. PM if you want it gone today;)

I will put it on fleabay for you, if you want.

The only guarantee to determine appropriate pricing.

Ask what you paid for the shaft on FB's Open Billiards Market, and it will sell. The size might slow it down a bit as 12.4mm seems to be more popular.

For those with academic interest, even you Michael ;), the shaft did sell for $550.

Yep I guess Predator still hasn't got these to their dealers in quantities that meet the demand

I just bought a new one at Christmas and had a hell of a time finding one. Every one I found on the secondary market either sold instantly or they wanted a crazy price. Finnaly found one left at omega lol so yeah.... there is still a big market for them.

Tap, tap. I knew it would sell at full price and considering the modification and tip changed. It was a very good price.

Well, inquiring minds want to know what your compete review is.
What was it that made it not your cup of tea? Was it the sound? Hit? Color? Unchangeable diameter size?

thanks for asking, CK.

For me it was the color. I was having a problem sighting onto the cue ball with all 1 color the entire way. Might have been different if it still had the yellow Victory tip but I think most people, like the prev owner of this one, found that tip to be way too soft for their liking. I think guys started referring to it as the "Yellow Marshmallow".

So yeah, sighting was the issue - I even considered putting a small piece of white tape on to simulate a ferrule more to what I'm used to but just went right back to my maple shafts instead.

I reconciled in my head that if maple was good enough for Mosconi, Crane, Efren and on and on and on, then it's really me and not a shaft that's the weak link. :embarrassed2::eek::grin:

for the record, I thought the Revo felt and sounded fine. This one even had something of a <<<ping>>> when striking whitey.

Thanks for the details.
I don't think you are alone. I always said, let's see what the reviews are after 1,000 hours of play. In the world championships this year, J filler, a well established Revo user, went back to his predator wood shaft (rumor was that it was a tip issue, but I also read that it was hard to control the cue ball with it on the Qatar tables), for whatever reason, he ended up winning the title with a wood shaft.

My motto is everything has a shelf life, nothing is forever, so get the best you can out of it while you have it. Following your instincts, like you did, is just how the game is played. At least now, you have that CF experience in the rear view mirror and move on.

Cardigan, you still using the becue or have you switched to the Prime M shaft? I just got the Prime M for Xmas and loving it as much as my Revo. Should have the cuetec in hand on Monday to try as well.

That tip that comes with it is garbage. Put a Precision Medium on mine. It's a brown tip and if you or your tip guy uses a clear liquid on the sides of the tip it will remain brown of course. Thought it played better with a medium tip but most people prefer a softer tip on it.

Prime M is a great shaft and they got the taper just right however I keep gravitating back to the Prime because I dig the white so much. I just find it more pleasing while sighting in a shot...also I'm trying to shorten my bridge up to minimize extra movement, and dare I say the Prime M is super slick, and it kind of gets away from me, where my stroke gets too loose.

Im trying to inquire about a prime M in white...which on not sure they are making at the moment. But those guys sure know how to build a shaft. From the 5.1, to prime, to prime M...they all hit very solid with a great solid wood-like sound.

Becue hit it out of the park with the Prime-m. That shaft sounds, feels .....everything just like a solid maple shaft does:

Minus a lot of deflection......

I am no longer a "revo only" user. I now consider the becue Prime-m a bit better than revo.

Revo and becue are great players but, like I said, "BECUE BY A NOSE"!!!!

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that Ricky is top notch. Nobody better to do business with.
