Mark Tadd

Maybe I was betting with you. :D Not! I was betting with Rex and a guy named Nick, 500 a set. CJ played that way for over a year. He chased Efren
all over the country and caught up with him a few times for even more memorable games. They played in Seattle for 40K and in Texas for 50K, and at least one other time as well. CJ won overall.

The night I saw them play at cue club I was flat broke, I might have had $50 in my pocket, That was about the lowest point in my life, I couldnt afford a $20 sweat bet.

Madcity,

I changed my mind, do you want to bet something at the gym?:D

ya just never know who your talking to online, but i suppose your right I was about 255 in that pic, I got to 268-but didnt get a pic, so yeah I guess anyone that heavy must be a fat ****, God forbid that the fat kid trained his ass off for 14 years, was born poor and made a little coin, i'm just not lazy I worked for it all nothing was for free-nothing. I waste no time, even comming here is a good use of my time I have made many friends. Its about how much heart you have and dicipline. I aint a pro bodybuilder or hardly a pro pool player, i'm only a pro on the telephone in the telemarketing biz-its called a "phone pro" but those days are long gone.

back to the gym thing let me know if you want to bet on something. I'm not in that shape now but perhaps your just the kick in the ass I need to go back and get in shape, I turn lemons like that statment and insult you directed at me and will turn into lemonade, it just keeps getting worse dosent it? so I want to thank you for inspiring me to get back to the gym, I have been in bed for along time with back troubles but i'm gonna go back to the gym and give it a chance-the worst is I'll have a worse backache for a week. the upside is in a few months i can be back to that condition. Again thanks for the kick in the ass. respect.

You poor b*****d I am 56 weight around 300 at 5" 9 and shrinking, can only play maybe a couple hours at a time. But I may get in shape to play your lard arse. And let me add I would have to drive 50 miles both ways to find a pool room to find a stroke I never had.

Best Wishes to fatboy from fatso
Mark

P.S. I have been known to bet a little and also I do have a cue you can't afford

Edit: wanted to change afford, just didn't look right but what he hell it is fatboy darn maybe the spelling is right if not fatso can correct it

I was lucky enough to see him a few times when he was playing at a really high level.

I watched him offer the whole pool room in Dothan Al once the eight ball and did not get any takers. Archer and other strong players were there.
He finally played David Grossman some giving him the 7 ball. Tadd ran
7 I think and either broke even or won a game or so. Grossman started out with several not giving Mark a chance.

I watched him give Scotty T the 8 on the bar table. Most racks that I have ever seen ran by two competitors. It was crazy.

I don't think Mark could get back to that same level because at that time he was "IN IT". He was in a different place. I watched him break for about 4 hours straight saying that all he needed was the shot after tha break and no one would win.
He ran balls for an hour straight without missing once after he said he would do it. Just threw them up each time and started shooting.

He had major pool talent in all games. I wish he would get back into the game and have a flashback. It would be something to see.

Glad to see my thread inquiring about a great player who has an amazing game is being hijacked by an ass making ridiculous statements towards two of this forum's most insightful and knowledgeable contributors.

At 5'9" and 300 pounds, how much weight do you need? :)
I've got it, let's have a foot race.

make sure the foot race is not downhill Jay. If this guy trips and falls then you have no chance of beating him rolling to the finish line.

I think Mark Tademy was one of the most lethal road players when he was playing. The number of people he dodged was a super-short list, I'm sure.

When I first saw him, hell, nearly 15 or so years ago he played like a pool-playing cyborg. I know there were people who could fade that speed, but man, for a mortal like me--- it's tough to imagine.

To him unless its not a tournment its gambling, thats his choice. I respect that, please respect him. He is on a good track, pool got him off track by his own admission. Why put a guy in a spot thats bad for him?

I was looking at a tape with M tadd and Mike S. Buddy hall Said that he was the only person that practiced and got better. Why say more.. great player hope one day i can meet him and talk about the game.

Mark Tadd has showed me it not the cue it the shooter.

There is a great gambling video out there of Mark Tadd vs Parica in bank pool. I'm trying to remember the specifics of the match, I havent seen it in a while. Its like a race to 4 or 5 for a few $k. Tadd wins double hill but has to win the last 3 or 4 games to get the cheese. Tadd plays great in that video.

A friend of mine has this dvd for sale, just PM me and I'll give you his contact info.

Jay-

At last year's DCC, wasn't Mark Tadd in the action room on a table - was he just hitting balls? I wasn't paying that close attention

Too bad he won't gamble. Someone read the bible & find a quote that says it is not a sin to gamble.

for the record, marks arms(Guns) give mine the 5 out and he dosent do roids like I was in that picture.

he was hitting balls on any table he could find Watchez, I was real happey with how well he did, we didnt make a dime on him but to me it was more important to be a part of bringing him out of where ever he was and hoping that he would have a good time and letting his fans watch him, doing that just made me feel good, Mark was happy we had a lot of laughs. Doing guys right makes me feel good, sure if we won I would have collected my end and toked him back. Just to have him out there hitting balls was awesome. I watched him play a few times. I played him a little, and I won more games than I lost like 2-1 LOL I beat a champ....yeah right. Mark is a complex man, I'm here for him when he pops up again. Since I am umemployed a the moment I wont be able to do what I did this past year(most of which is private) but it feels good to do good. Not being a hater, bitter, jealous, miserable keyboard tough guy.

He was just practicing. He was ALWAYS practicing between matches.

So you took roids to get that big?? Did accomplish anything in life honestly? just a question not being a hater:D

That is what I thought - just wanted to clarify as I wasn't paying close attention.

I did watch Tadd play Fargo banks in the tournament. Tough loss as he had Tony down and you could just tell from the momentum in the last 1 1/2 games that Fargo was going to win.

If you talk to Tadd, tell him that 'Mark the Shark' from STL gives his best. He should know who that is from years ago and that 'the shark' went back to being a police officer.

Mark a couple of years back had a short stint in the Phoenix area. Although he wasn't playing much he was impressive to watch. He would grab a table at the end of the pool room. (away from everyone) and hit the same shot for 30-40 min. Or hit the break over and over and over. I don't know that I have ever seen someone with his focus.

Probably the biggest stroke I have ever seen.

The guys on here that know Mark much better than I do can attest he is a lot of fun to be around. What a character. He keep me up late several nights just sitting around talking to him. Funny man, good person. I hope he starts playing tourneys again.
