I had a run in with Marty with a supposed Scruggs cue that he was selling on Ebay. Asked him about it and got no response. I actually warned people here about it becuse it looked like a kindergardner cut the TS in it with a knife. Well, lets just say that I had less than flattering words coming from him. Total nutjob.
John, I see where you're coming from and respect your opinion on this matter. I want you to know that. I think a major problem with people agreeing with what you're saying, is that IF Marty is indeed mentally ill, he has been for some time now and the majority of us ONLY know the crazy old man. Based on what I've read, he's had a few screws loose for some time now and it wasn't that someone just flipped a switch.
I guess what I'm saying is, the crazy cat lady didn't go out and find 40 feline friends to live with her in one night. Its a long process and unless you've known the cat lady for 40 years (before she stopped bathing and started eating fancy feast with her friends...) she's ONLY been known as one thing. The Cat Lady. IDK if MM has the same sense of humor, but I would have told the world that Marty Herman snapped out of it and should be allowed back on az if he so chooses. I understand your point John, I agree with you to a point. As a generalized way of thinking, you are correct. But IMHO Marty is the exception to a lot of things said in his defense.John, I think a lot like you do. Socratic method. I think that was an old JOSS cue wasn't it? I actually ended up with that particular cue. I did a trade with him and he was 1st class with me. No issues at all. Actually had a pretty good conversation with him about cues and pool in general and enjoyed talking to him....

Not likely. Roy is a stand up guy who takes great pains to sevice his customers. But he doesn't take it up the ass for them. He is gruff and sometimes quite pissy in his responses but NO ONE here can say that Roy ever ripped them off and if they do they are lying.
Maybe you want to relate the exact story of the deal between you and Roy complete with the proper timeline and then let the people here judge who is right and who is not.
The funny thing about Roy is that if he is such a bad guy then how come he manages to continually make sales?

LOL - I need an editor. The easy way to never see my posts is to use the FF addon I call Super Ignore. It erases whoever you put on it as if they don't exist. You don't see when they are quoted, you don't see threads they start, they are banished from your life.
It doesn't work naturally in FF 4 BUT there is a workaround to make it work. I just installed FF4 and will be using it again since it's faster than the 3.6 I had stopped using it for Chrome because Chrome was faster.
See my sig for how to get Super Ignore. You can also banish threads and topics you don't want to see. When I use FF my forum experience is much more pleasing.
