Match for Half a Million $ to start today at at 6PM Las Vegas time

Did he do anything else while in Cleveland?

Dippy`s End game is real good.As a general rule, a weak player is not supposed to make even a single ball when palying champions. But he made balls consistently when he played scott and Daz in the past. It is my understanding that he learned the end game strategy by hanging out with 'Indian' while 'Indian' was living in Cleveland. For personal reasons,I am not mentioning the actual name of the 'Indian'

They started the game around 1:45pm.I was away from the pit and was banging the balls on a diamond table. Before the start they had some kind of an arument about some thing. It is funny that they did not play last night because they did not agree on something. After all the wrinkles are ironed out they decided to play. They come to the pit and Dippy argues about some thing.Scot told him thay they already talked about this issue.I really did not know what the argument was about.I was mumbling to myself ' frigging pool players '.
Scott made some amazing banks and was few games a ahead when I left.I have to go to another party tonight and hence left the place.

I am not quite sure about how much is the real bet.I heard different versions. Some said that it is only for 100,000 a set but they will play 5 sets.I really don`t know.

'Gambling Meistro', 'no saint' Billy Incardona, Alex pegulayan & Jimmy wych were in attendence

Dippy going off!!!

I feel bad when I lose over $500-1000. Holy $hit, that's alot of cash.

Why would he go off for that kind of money when he could never hope to win that much from his opponent? That's the biggest mistake in gambling on pool, letting yourself lose more than the opponent even has.

I ask everyone before gambling, "How much do you have to lose?" Saves me from alot of self loathing in the morning.

Let's get an unpdate soon on this one, it will be interesting to say the least.

He is chasing the money now...thats the gamblers death sentence...:embarrassed2:

Do you realize you said 'only a 100,000' a set? Think about it.

Sorry,I could not understand what you were trying to say.
Last night, after the party, I went back to the venue and Scott was 2 games a head.I was told that at one time Scott was 7 games a head.
Not many people over there including me really know how much they were betting. It now appearsto me that, fewdays before the match they created a hype saying that it was for half a million $ bet.It is all nothing but BS.The legendary Ronnie Allen has been persistent in getting me into a game.I told him that he is a legend and I respect him and don`t challenge a Legend. He said 'stop that bull s....

Grapevine says -- and this is hearsay and subject to check -- that this last session, there was no side action or betting on the rail. I have no personal knowledge if this is true or not.

Ooh-ooh, I heard it through the grapevine. :grin-square:

I was just razzing like you said it like 100,000 was chump change.

Yesterday they quit playing after they broke even but the play will resume today.I don`t have interest in posting the updates because the information that is available to me is only bits and pieces and also is not totally true.I should know better.Frigging pool players. As I said earlier Ronnie Allen has been persistent for nearly 11-12 years to get a game from me.But yesterday afternoon he changed the tune and asked me to play'Archie' The Greek who was standing next to Ronnie.I told Archie that I will not play him because he does not sit in the chair when I am at the table. Then Archie said that he will fall into sleep if he has to sit in the chair.I then said 'no game'.

where is this being played? Also I will be in Vegas next week and was curious where the action is? Also where to find Dippy Dave as i know Dave from back in his Ohio days

Off topic but what the heck

Have you seen "Poker Paul" hanging around (if you know him)?
If so tell him the Cady family says hello, we miss him here in California.

This just in...

Grapevine says -- and this is only hearsay on my part -- that today will be the *last* match. It will be played for 12 hours, and at the end of 12 hours of this 10-ahead match, the money will be paid out to the person in the lead for however many games they are ahead. The End!

Apparently -- again, this is hearsay on my part -- Team Frost wants to win or lose, but they do *not* want to have to endure these long 12-hour sessions day after day after day with nobody ever pocketing any cheese nips. :grin-square:

Tonight's the night! Be there or be square!

The two main places you might find action in Vegas is Pool Sharks and the Las Vegas Cue Club. I believe this is being played at Pool Sharks, or at least that's where it started out.

He is my buddy and I shall convey the message to him if and when I remember (I am old and feeble).

Nothing going on about this match.

yesterday I had to entertain some out of town friends for lunch and a different out of towner ( canada) for the evening and hence did not go to the venue.I will not be going there today either because I have to entertain a friend from England that is in town for 3 days.Tomorrow I have another friend coming from a different state and I am busy.No more informative posts from me.Sorry.:embarrassed2:

This one is done, folks. Nothing to see. Everyone go on your merry ways. (Both players have gone to their next venture).
