I thought the moosehead was the cat's pajamas. Cheap, didn't scratch shafts like some of the cast and chromed bridges, small enough to fit in a case pocket. Then I made a discovery. I think aided by the through hole in the center grommet, it made an excellent tip remover! After removing the tips of several house cues at the pool hall I retired my moose head.

I see that the CueTec doesn't have a through hole. Should help with the tip removal issue but also takes away from the one size fits all nature of the moose head. It seems there just isn't a perfect bridge head!

Interesting... Although I don't doubt it's top removal abilities. I have never experienced this. Probably because I use the moosehead on my breakers which have nearly always had some composite material for a tip if not one long piece of phenolic.

Is the Cuetec offering a full length rest or some type of attachment...? I haven't seen any marketing for it, and the piece used at the Mosconi looked to be one piece.
