Don't worry Yally, every website you have ever visited can get the exact information in that sig. It's nothing special. The picture is generated on Roy's website.yally said:Umm...I don't like signatures that know more about my computer than I do
jay helfert said:Okay, I played on Day Two of the second event. They had too many players to put everyone on one first day. There were 2,000 players on Day One and 225 made it to Day Three. In my section yesterday they had 1,929 players and 220 made it through. Guess what, I'm one of them. So there are about 445 players left in this event and we start today at 2 PM PST.
The bad news is that only 378 finish in the money (last place is $2,900). I need to get past another 70 guys to make the money. And I'm kinda short chipped with only 17,800. An average stack is around 25,000. My first goal is just to make the money, That may take two hours or more. My second goal after that is to make the final table. That's where the really big cheese is! But that's a long way off right now.
Thanks for all your support. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Andrew Manning said:Hmmm, average stack = 25 big blinds, and there's an extra big blind out there each hand in the form of antes, and the bubble is approaching.
I do believe it's time for some stealing!! I hope you have average stacks on your left; they can afford to fold, but they can't afford to call/re-raise recklessly.
I learned from a good player that you can walk around a tournament one round after the antes have kicked in, and tell who the better players are by how much of their chip stack is made up of ante chips. Go after those 100's with a vengeance, it's a great way to develop your stack at relatively low risk.
I'm sure you have your own game-plan, and I'm sure you're a much better player than I am, I'm just repeating what I've heard from some champions.

Puts the average stack at 26,098. The median is 21,400.
If you have 17,800 chips there are about 170 players who have less chips then you. I would say you have a very good chance of at least making the money.
jay helfert said:Very good advice Andrew. Thanks! Here's my problem, one of the monster chip stacks is right next to me on my left. He has over 100K in chips. I CANNOT bluff him and try to steal his blind. That would be fatal. I will have to find some good cards to play, and then take a stand. If I raise, he can come over the top of me with almost anything, knowing that even if he's a dog in the hand, I can't hurt him.
Bottom line, I have to win the first hand I play or I will be crippled, or OUT! Now, if I can catch some cards and they hold up, I can build a nice healthy stack. We'll find out soon enough what's it gonna be.![]()
P.S. I've been in this spot before, so I feel comfortable going in. I just don't like that I'm not in position to steal here, because I definitely would!
