no reason to berate a guy who hasn't heard of mike dechaine. he's a great player, probably one of the best breakers and runs out behind his break. definitely a top 5 american player and i've heard this and that about his attitude but whatever he's a treat to watch play. hope to see more great things from him in the future and hopefully more players and fans get to see him play...
My 12 yr old knows who Mike is. He played with him yesterday in RI actually.
I think most replies were pretty much joking, Paul is taking the responses a bit seriously.
It's like someone posting "who is this swimmer guy in the Olympics this year, Phlemps or something, where did he come from?". I figure once you make the Mosconi Cup team and win a TAR match your days of hiding are over.

I can't believe the people that just set in waiting to jump on someone who made a mistake or may not be as up to date as they are .These guys are hating hard today ,maybe it's the heat ......I dunno .
You gotta understand, it's the source that's inspiring these responses. If Joe Blow from Idaho came on and posted, there would likely be a few chuckles, and such. But Paul is a regular here, a long time member, and one who provokes reaction regularly. (I have no personal issue with Paul, one way or another.). This is why you are seeing the reaction here in this thread. Go read some of his posting history, if you want to understand this background a bit better, it will be rather illuminating.
I do find it kind of humorous, as there has been an awful lot of Mike Dechaine talk here over the last 18-20 months. I mean, he was on the Mosconi Cup team....and the TAR match with Hatch was pretty big news, for lots of reasons, good and not so good...
We gotta have something to stir stuff up occasionally, I suppose.
