I could have added this new info to a recent already-existing thread created by JoeyA on our forum, but since AzBilliards Discussion Forum posts are cached on Google, I am creating a brand-new thread about this topic, so that it will contribute to keeping this out in the public's eye.
Here's a November 10, 2011, newspaper article entitled "Search for murder suspect's identity leads to Ridgeland bar." It was written on the 2-year anniversary of Mike Surber's murder.
Police said a few days later, when Cooper arrived at Shucker's, he was with a female companion. According to America's Most Wanted's website, he talked to a female employee about visiting his studio. A manager reportedly called police after Cooper walked out on a $100 bar tab.
A woman identifying herself as a manager at Shucker's said Thursday she was unaware of the investigation or that Cooper was last seen there. She said she probably wouldn't recognize the man from a picture because of the amount of traffic the restaurant has.
Ridgeland police were unavailable for comment.
"Unavailable for comment"? What?
Cooper also has been seen in Villa Rica, Ga., and police believe he may travel I-20 regularly.
Villa Rica, Georgia. Keep your eyes open for this creep.
Steve Surber said he hopes to find his brother's killer not just for closure, but also because of the danger the person could pose to others.
"If you look at how methodical this whole thing was, to me it was very cold-blooded and calculated and methodical," he said. "I don't think this is the first time he'd done this."
The family has offered a reward for any information leading to the capture of Surber's killer.
Flowers said anyone who may have information should call the Ocean Springs Police Department at (228) 875-2211, or a local law enforcement agency.
