Mike won his first "pro" tournment, he beat thourston
holoman in the finals. 2 nd set. Mike obviously was on the winners side, thourston beat him first set and was ahead 8-4 goint to 13 and Mike caught a gear. He is a very gifted player-He is the real deal, It was a small field but race to 13 and beating who he did, says alot about his game. He said he took a break from pool for a while and came back ready. He dropped by for a hour tonight at "Casa De Fatboy" on his way to the pool room, we knocked the balls around for 30 minutes, shared war stories-we havent seen each other in a while.

I'm happy for him, he is cocky, but I would be too if I played like he does, I admire guys who play like that arnt cocky-i'm not knocking Mike, like I said I would too. If he keeps his head right(I believe he will) we'll hear more news like this.

"The Pain" is for real, now I knocked all his action,,,,,sorry buddy, He is going to be back in Vegas he said "Maybe" in August sometime, perhaps there will be some action.

congrats buddy.

i like the way you think. throw in another young gun like oscar d and make it winner take all round robin. hell of a chance for one of the young guys to make a pretty good score

I don't even think Artie B has spelled Thorsten Hohmann's name that wrong, and he has spelled it wrong each and every time he has mentioned him over at onepocket.org :D

Thourston Holoman is the road player from South Philly that has been torturing all of the Viking Tour Amateur events.

Funny thing is me and Artie are good friends(we just met recently),

Freddy The Beard has his $$ on me in the up comming Fatboy vs. Artie spelling changllenge.

Fatboy, I don't know who Artie is, but I would blindly put my money on you if there is a spelling challenge between you vs. Artie. You are like the Dennis Orcullo of spelling. :D Very hard to bet against.

Back to topic, Congrats to Mike D. on his win. For a few brief occasions that I conversed with him, he seems to be a good kid.

"The Pain", now that he's a bona fide Pro Tournament winner should stop in Columbus on his way home to play Bartram some. You know, the guy that has NEVER won a Pro Tournament. At least set something up and schedule TAR to stream.

BTW, good win Mike...

Guys,

I spoke with mainplayer about a hour after his win. He actually admitted to being nervous! Said his arm shook. I appreciate that kind of honesty from a "pro" player. Have to admit I was sweating Walter Glass against him. Mike won 13 - 10. Congrats Mike.

Then you gotta put Brandon Shuff in too. It is getting to be a round-robin event for sure.

seems like he just separated himself from most of the young guns on the list. This win is a major pro tournament good for him.

no doubt, even if they did a relatively low entry (compared to last young guns challenge entry) of like say 2500. with 8 players, winner gets 20k. not too shabby a return on your money if you win and not that big of a risk. i know it is hectic for the tar guys to get something like this going but man would it be cool to sweat.
