>>>Mike Zuglan for Mosconi Captain !!! <<<

I say let's run it up the flagpole ONE TIME and see if it flies !!

Why not? It couldn't be any worse than last years debacle.

Buddy Hall, Incardona, I think both those guys deserve the honor, especially seeing how they are getting along in age.

That goes for Pat Fleming and Ray Martin also.

All very capable.

I just have not seen anyone mention Zuglan for it and I was curious to see if the general opinion is the same as mine.
Mike has the knowledge and the savvy to be a great captain.

Besides he shot down the ABP just like Barry B should do. LOL

To answer your question directly, I think Mike would be a great choice. He has a pretty good track record as far as calling things straight down the middle and not being a puppet to outside agendas or prima donnas with their own agenda's. I think Tony, and Buddy would be good choices as well. That is my opinion and it is as useless as yours....so that makes us equals...lol.

Count me in. Not sure everybody outside of the northeast realizes just how much of a beast Zuglan was.. and a stand up guy too. In the early 90's he was playing as good as any human that ever played.believe that , I watched it and battled against him when I was a in my teens. My Dad to this day always said the way zug was playin back then was as good as he has ever seen.

Pretty sure he played in Germany @ the Worlds early ninties. Plus the captain Should be a great matchmaker to give us an edge. Cardone could also infiltrate mind sets and create interesting matchups if he were chosen, but Zug and all his efforts and consistency with the N/E tour are very in line with reality....he truly deserves it, great thread. So I too vote for mike first then cardone second.

Go Mike!

I also agree with the nomination of mike zuglan. Not only does he know how the pool world operates but he was and still is a hell of a player. I would also be happy seeing Tony Robles there too. As he was a former member of the team and a stand up guy.
