Too funnie~! I wonder if Fats could even right his own name, since he gave out a business curd with his signature stamped on it?

Cris

Beautiful cue BTW. I don't think it's a big deal that it's misspelled....Kinda gives it some character....IMO though. ......It is funny though...you'd think he'd double check on something like that. Especially for the likes of Mr. Wanderone.

Not sure it was mispelled on purpose but it might be because of the way folks from those parts say the name Minnesota which often sounds like "Minnasota". At least to me anyway :D

Since we are checking spelling, this is the correct way to spell
foreshadow.

You missed the way he used the wrong 'their'. And that he spelled 'known' wrong.

I'm glad you noticed, I had to edit it in the first place for it to be wrong.

Nobody asks me to spell when I'm playing pool, so I'm good to go! People would feel really bad if they seen how I play pool and how I spell!

Yeah, I was thinking maybe he requested it to be spelled that way for a reason? We may never know...

Since we're running spell check on everyone's rear end ... This should read:

"That is a huge mistake. Like spelling McDonald's wrong on their sign outside, everybody's going to notice it. Too bad, it is a beautiful cue."

In my area, the elementary schools are not going to teach cursive handwriting anymore. Everybody is texting and/or writing on a keyboard.

Had business curds once but still prefer good old Wisconsin cheese curds.

You could be write!

I asked him for his autograph and he pulled out a stamp and stamped my suspenders.

I'm not sure what's funnier: people correcting other people's spellling or people not realizing that other people are misspelling words on purpose.

Anyway, the cue and that photo were featured on Cuezilla.com. For those who don't frequent that site, please do. There are much more interesting cues than this offering.

You've got the wrong guy! That was Wisconsin Fats that had business "curds".

When did it become okay to knock other's listings?

spellcheck shipwreck...

Okay, I had hoped I wouldn't have to address this but this thread, like a bad penny, keeps coming back.

Maybe a year ago, more or less, a friend named Richie came running back into the pool hall after leaving near closing time. The reason for his hasty return was so that he could show us all what he just captured on his cell phone camera just down the street on the very busy Boston Post Road.

In honor of an apparently new sandwich, the huge, illuminated, McDonalds sign read: "Come In And Try Our New Anus Rub". :shocked2::yikes::shocked2:

That had to be done on purpose, right?

Hilarious!

Best,
Brian kc

I know this is an old thread, I must let you know now, I know Bob and he did indeed miss spell it. Fats did notice that is was miss spelled but laughed it off and said not a problem, it gives it character! Any question on Meucci cue just ask and I will ask Bob and tell you what he says!!!
