moori tips

Atlas was indeed fine for exporting....

http://www.fws.gov/midwest/news/495.html

Joe tried to sell a cue containing ivory to a guy in London, according to the DOJ report. I'll tell you right now he is the ONLY one who has every done this and NOONE does it currently or will ever do it in the future...yah right....

http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2010/October/10-enrd-1224.html

Notice they couldn't find evidence that any of his ivory was illegally imported, but apparently have plenty of cigars to smoke now....

My guess is the DA offered him a deal and, after consulting with an attorney, plead guilty because it would be considerably cheaper than trying to fight it.

SO, Atlas PAID 150,000.00(NOW you know why there shipping rates are so damn high) and Joe paid whatever Joe paid(apparently it wasn't enough to brag about, since it isn't listed in the report).

Joe brought attention to himself with the "loaded up with ivory" claims and the DOJ put a sting on him. The raid produced no more evidence of wrong doing(except for the cigars that the Feds are now enjoying). Say what you want about the guy in other aspects, but I think the report speaks for itself..

Now let's spend some tax dollars on Lance Armstrong and a new Assault Weapons Ban(500,000,000.00 proposed for NOTHING).

I have bought and installed tons of moori.
I have always purchased from atlas....
Until they ran out.
I buy a lot from CC and have never had an issue, in fact Joe treats me fantasticly.
I got some moori from CC and they are different.
The packaging is the same, but the tips look different.
They are shorter, and the layers even look different, not quite as even.
This is not saying that they are not real, just different.
It's totally plausible that moori has changed his formula, or sold, or whatever.
The only thing I know, is I'm nonlonger installing moori.
I'm pushing Ultra skin to everyone, if they don't want them, I also offer kamui, along with most other popular tips...just not moori.

It"s an outrage!!!

Randy, how do YOU know for a fact that Armstrong was NOT the man on the grassy knoll???????
Worth every penny, I say. The world needs to know!!
Cost is NO object.

Ya gotta admit, they can really lay it down.

Edit....On the other hand...assault weapons? Total BS. We need IED's! RPG's! Stingers! It would be great! Just like Kandahar!

Did anyone see the great film "Kandahar"? Hair-raising.

Sorry to hijack.

I have some Moori tips that I bought from Atlas a long while ago and I have some new that I bought from Joe. They look the same, the package is the same the tips are the same color and the layers are the same. I see no difference from the old Atlas and these. Maybe they are both good or they are both bad. All I know is that the people that like Moori tips still like these when I put them on.

thanks guys for all the imput,i've pretty much learned what i needed to know.the moori legend, and it's secret society still lives.i guess i'll take my chances with whoever i buy from.TRcues

Moori dropped layers off over time. I think the packaging changed when they went from 11 layers to 10 layers. But when they went from 10 to 9 layers the packaging did not change. So I am taking it that the higher tip is the old one and the lower tip is the newer one.

Darcy, thanks for the pictures. Are 10-layered (older ones) 3rd gen? They don't look like, those had more dark brown color. How old are yours pictured?

I would have to look into old atlas bills.
I would think they are a year old maximum.

Maybe this will help settle some things down. My Moori supplier in Japan whom I have dealt with for many years is still unable to get any tips, but he did tell me Moori has not went out of business, but have been way behind on production. He had no solid details on why Moori is not keeping up their production. Maybe things will turn around and Moori get back up to speed.
Right now I am limiting Medium Moori tips to 2 tips with a total order of $100 or more for anything. I am limiting Slow and Quick to 10 of each hardness.

Hello!
Any normal business have a website. Do not moori site.
What's the mystery?
Chinese offer moori wholesale at $ 5 a piece. How much is it not the Chinese moori?
(sorry for bad english :))

Might have something to do with Morri no longer hand making them from his home in Tokyo. Could be I had two friends attend his funeral.

This however is not to say there is not a Morri factory making tips in Japan, had a mutual friend stop by there about a month ago and grabbed a box. Unless things changed in that time they were under full production.

I have changed most of my moori customers to ultra skins.....

Not one has come back with a complaint.... they love them.

I like the Wizard (H)
Very stable tips
True tips are used for the Russian balls (68 mm and weighing 280 g)
Many other tips collapse of such balls.

Oleg, I could send you full range of UltraSkin tips to try. Sent you a PM (private message). Don't worry, it's in Russian for your convenience ;)
Since you mentioned a Hard tip I suppose you gonna love UltraSkins!
