Mosconi Cup 2012 Day 2 Discussion

I don't say this too often, but Shane straight up dogged that match.

Shane wasn't at his best, but Ekonomoplis played beautiful pool. I was very impressed.

A couple of poor shots against a top opponent in a race to five and you lose. That's what makes this event more pressure-filled than any other.

We got this one. Dennis played a great kick safe return. Brandon just played a good safe too. WTF? They made the shot.

I agree, not sure any of these matches can be considered upsets based on the format and the level of players participating.

Now i havent seen every match in the 19yrs of the mosconi cup but every time that i have seen Shane play he does not look comfortable or like he really wants to be there.

With him having only about a 45% winning rate at the cup does Shane maybe not like the team setting? Could that be another explanation for his dropping out of bonus ball? He seems more like a lone wolf than a team man to me.

As a Buffalo Boy at Heart, Hatch Deserves a Medal!

There's a time and a place for 'friendly' antics to fire up the crowd. And IMO, the Mosconi Cup is one of them.

Dennis Hatch from Buffalo, NY is exactly what Team USA needs.

Good for him.

Great shot by Vandenberg and then another by Niels. They deserved that rack. Not looking good for Dennis and Shuff

Anyone else see how much Brandon's hand was shaking while he was mesuring up that kick on the 3 ball?
