Game 1 - Shaw v Woodward. Woodward scratches the lag and they re-lag! Wow. Then wins the re-lag. Crazy.
Woodward breaks dry, leaving an easy 1 but a tied-up 5.
Shaw drops the 1 and the 2, but is faced with a steep angle into the side on the 3. He shakes his head and takes an extension, then plays a crazy safe that almost looked like a carom attempt at the 9, and it works out for him. Good roll again.
Woodward, the lag-scratcher (still can't believe that), steps up on the long cut on the 3, and plays a nice safe, tying up the 3-8.
Shaw returns the favor and more with a lock-up safety.
Looks like it will require a masse-kick to escape, which Woodward pulls off to perfection, hooking Shaw.
Shaw jumps out of the safe and luckily gets safe again.
Woodward plays a 2-rail kick, but leaves an easy 3-9 hanger which Shaw drains.
Shaw leads 1-0.
