If you are referring to Marcus "The Little Napoleon" Chamat, his words were taken out of context yesterday in his captain's celebratory speech. I know Marcus, and he loves America, American pool, American players, and did live here for a while.
As well, I actually was typing his words when he was speaking yesterday, and I only saved a few sentences to share in another thread. He was giving his team accolades by saying, "We're the best team in the world!" He was excited and happy for the win. He added that, basically, he invited anybody to come play them some, whether it's China, Philippines, et cetera. He wasn't bashing Team USA; rather, he was giving his team accolades. Marcus would *never* have a bad word to say about anybody in the pool world. He's not that kind of guy.
To know him is to love him. He's got heart, humor, and game. I have a lot of Marcus photos, but this has always been one of my favorite shots of Marcus taken at the Derby. I'd elaborate more about this photo, but I know it will be met with criticism of what was happening that day. For some of us, it sure was a lot of fun. :grin-square:
Again, Marcus would never, ever have anything bad to say about America, American pool, or any of its pool peeps.
