Most expensive playing cue?????

When I saw the Prince of Brunei play at the WPC, his cue looked like about $50K.

He must of had his cheap cue out then cause $50,000 to him is pennies...IF that !:)

Regular players are either a plain jane Scruggs or a Bender sneaky pete (with DPK shaft), each worth around 1k. I stopped taking my Black Boar to the pool hall because I worried too much about it, but I played with it regularly for about a year.
:p

I only go play at places I dont have to worry about my cue or myself.

Why anyone would go to a place so bad their cue is their concern puzzles me, is a cue more important than your own well being?

I play with a expensive cue as a daily player and I take it to the bathroom etc.

YUP:) ...................................

I have a predator 4k4 & 314 shaft that I play with. It's a great hitting cue & it was like $900. I would LOVE a sweet custom cue. The price is not an issue for me as I do alright and I don't have a wife or kids. My problem is I like to have a few every now and then, and I have been known to accidentally whack my cue on various objects throughout an evening. I don't like this with my $900 cue (like that's freakin cheap), but I think it would ruin my entire night if it was a $4000 cue.

If I can not play with them, and they do not play. They go up for sale. Most expensive player is about $2500.00 and it doesn't visit bars, or sports bars. Most expensive all around player is under $700.00.

Yeah,I love My cues like that, take 'em everywhere I go.

my player right now is a Schon STL-17. Not super expensive, I traded it for mt last player which was a Sigel......but I'd cry if I lost it! :D

My favorite cue.....and don't laugh is my Cuetec "Earl" J/B. Twice I have run over 100 balls using that cue (and my high run 127)because my regular player popped the tip. Both times were gambling, and I actually won that cue in a race to 11 against my $50!....HA, that guy didn't knnow that cue has the VOODOO!

My playing cue is a Southwest with scrimshawed ivory points, inlays, and fancy joint protectors, worth about $10K. I take it whenever I travel. In the last couple years it has been with me in Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, Hawaii, Vegas, NYC, and places I can't remember. It is also my league cue when I play in the midwest and in Bangkok. Airlines have lost it twice recently, and I got it back both times.

I only carry this one cue, and I use it to break, play, & jump.

What I do when I fly with my cues is to wrap them really well in a towel or two and put them in my checked suitcase and I carry the empty case with me on the plane. That way no one has the urge to get sticky fingers. I haven't had them misplace them yet.

Including what I'm stuck?

Does the amount you "invested" in matchups add to its value? LOL - mine would be priceless!

I started with a 1st generation Predator with two 314 shafts (~$700). Then I replaced the Predator shafts with two Ed Young custom shafts (+$300). Then I replaced the Predator butt with a Joss wrapless butt which matches the threads (but not the rings or even the joint diameter - +$100) . So now I have a "mutt" that looks like hell and cost me $1,100 (+ many Moori tips @ $15-$20 a pop and the occasional ferrule replacement).

Nobody would steal this so-called cue, but I'd need Prozac without it.

With plenty of Boars to choose from, The one I carry everywhere and the one that's my favorite and my best playing Black Boar, I paid $14,000 about 3 years ago, but just this year I turned down an offer of $18,500- so what's it worth ?????????? but I would'nt even sell it for 20k. It's like saying what would you sell your arm for?

I know it's crazy to carry something around like that, but playing the game feels sooooooooooo good to me when I use it------I just get frustrated when I try to use anything else.
