Most Under Rated Cue Maker

I've been playing with a Barry Cameron for the past 10+ years and am still impressed with the way they play. And his prices are very reasonable as well. If you go to the gallery of cues, the first one shown is my cue. Curly hawaiian koa, ebony and ivory.

I'm going to throw John Davis into the discussion. He is famous for his forearms but he also makes full cues. I've seen cues with a Davis forearm sell for more than a Davis cue.

Thanks, I will try to take a picture of it and post it up. The veneers pop with the cocobolo.
 
Haven't read the whole thread but I seen Dick Neighbors name thrown in, amen to that... Wait until you see one of his new "traditional" style cues! WOW!!!!

I have cues coming from both Joey and Kenny. I have hit with both and can tell you that they are top notch!

You sir are one lucky fellow to be getting cues from these 2 guys (Joey & Kenny). Can`t wait to see them.

I started a new thread in the gallery section just hoping to get a peek at some of the work that Dick Neighbors has done. I hope to see some of his beautiful work. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Three that I've dealt with who make really good playing cues are: Joe Baker, Leon Sly, and Chuck Starkey. A lot of bang for the buck. The best part is they are stand up guys, which goes a long way with me. I've dealt with one other cue maker who was a total j--k-off, but live and learn, I guess. I think the aforementioned three are very under rated...
 
George Balabushka - seriously I expect they will be going up even more in the next few years when we come out of the econimic downturn. You think the prices are high now I believe they will be even higher in the not so distant future.

I have read 9 pages and have not seen this guy, so I guess you could call him under the radar. One guy that many people do not know, but he builds a hellva cue...MR. JERRY PRICE ! Beleive me, his cues hit fantastic!!!

I feel like Paul Dayton flies under the radar sometimes. I have 2 of his cues and they are top-notch. They have an amazing hit,exquisite beauty,and a build quality that is second to none.

I have a Paul Dayton and it does play very well, And the points are nicely done great finish. But i had to get a shaft for it, I was nt to fond of the one it came with, I like Ld shafts.
 
Way below the radar is JoeyInCali (Bautista) Studied under Kerry Zeiler and makes a Great hitting cue. His cues are all about the woods and the hit. Waiting for my 2nd one and am almost afraid to go to his place because I'm afraid I'll fall in love with some other piece of wood. Hmmm--maybe Pernambuco or--------------
 
Bryan mordt gets my vote. i've run into a diviney that i was impressed with but with his prices being what they are i wouldn't call them under rated
