Mr. Lucky 1959 pool episode

Amazing, a pool episode from before my time.
Neither guy could play a lick, but that's par for the course. I'm betting Fred Whalen shot all those shots at the end. He was the "pool player" around Hollywood in those days. The only actor I recognized was Ross Martin.

Thanks Curly that was very enjoyable,I'll trade Desperate wives to get Lucky back. Reruns are better than today's stuff. p.s. I was seventeen then and had already run over 125 balls at Burt Smith's Bethesda Billiard Academy. I watched Mr. Lucky several tmes but barely remember this one. It's a breath of fresh air from my youth in the Fabulous 50s.....p.s. Curly, you know im only 39 don't you pal?...l.o.l.

Oh, come on Jay! You have about 5 years on me and I remember the Mr. Lucky series from my childhood days. Can't say I remember seeing this episode, but Mr. Lucky was a weekly event in my home. I think it was my dad's favorite show back then.

I was born in '43...remember Mr. Lucky quite well, and it was one my Dad loved as well...think it could have been the "hot babes"?

It looked like Mr. Lucky never had a cue stick in his hand until they started filming. Paul Newman never did either, but Mosconi and Newman's natural talent and dedication at least made him look great. Quite an achievement, when you think about it.

Playing for 100k, wins the toss and decides to break playing 14.1. Mr. Lucky must of had a little game ran 45 and out to win the match.

Thanks for posting this, I just got on here because everything is a rerun on TV. I never saw this show. Waay before my time.
