Let's say you are in a heated match in some smokey bar. You are in your tiebreaking game and its your shot. What song do you want playing in the backgound and why?

Too tough to say. Depends on my mood at the time and that can be contributed to numerous factors.

For the most part, I would have to say anything by Pantera (especially off their live album), maybe Type O Negative (Cinnamon Girl, Summer Breeze, I know You're F**king Someone Else), Mudvayne (Happy?, A World So Cold), Radiohead (anything off of OK Computer or Kid A), Thom Yorke (Black Swan), and a slew of others.

"Nelly" iam number one.

Little Wing Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bad Company Bad Company, Frankenstein Edgar Winter....... there are probably others.

Old Metallica gets me in the zone, hard fast and angry. But when I just won the WesternBCA Masters 9ball tourney I would listen to the new TOOL album Song 4. I had just listened to the whole CD on the trip down to the casino. Since our beach house was only 3 minutes from the casino I would have to skip to the 5:00-6:00 section of the song. At the high point of the song there Maynard goes:

"IT'S TIME NOW, MY TIME NOW!!. GIVE ME MY, GIVE ME MY......."
I could not tell what the "......" word was in the song so I sang it as "PRIIIZZZEEEE"

When I walked into the casino I was focused and in the last two matches (9-1, 9-4 alternating break) I missed two shots and scratched on one break. I listened to the exact point before every match, went to the house and relaxed before every match. Just had a good routine to keep my mind in it more than anything.

Zone? Is it the time when you always miss the easiest shots? ;)

Honestly, everytime I am in the zone I can't even remember the score, so to choose which song is hard...

Hell yeah dude! Btw, awesome pic of Jennnifer Barretta, hot! I also agree with pharoah68 though, depends what kind of mood your in, could be 80's, new wave, could be some pac or other gansta rap, maybe some old house, or even disco, or reggae.

Loverboy - The Kid Is Hot Tonight

In my day it was this song, maybe I am showing my age here?

Loverboy - The Kid Is Hot Tonight

We just heard of a brand new wave
And we hope it’s here to stay
We’ll have to wait and see
If it’s half of what they say

We heard he opened up a brand new door
Well you know that’s what I’m lookin’ for
We’ll have to wait and see if it makes you shout for more

How do you like him so far?
How do you like his show?
How do you like the way he rocks and the way he rolls?

How do you like his image?
How do you like his style?
How do you like the way he looks and the way he smiles?

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be tomorrow?

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be tomorrow

And we just heard of a brand new fad
And they say it’s gonna drive you mad
We’ll have to wait and see if it’s the best you ever had

And we just heard of a brand new wave
We heard it’s headin’ for an early grave
We’ll have to wait and see if there’s anything we can save

How do you like him so far?
How do you like his show?
How do you like the way he rocks and the way he rolls?

How do you like his image?
How do you like his style?
How do you like the way he looks and the way he smiles?

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But tell me where will he be tomorrow?

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be tomorrow

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be tomorrow

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be, where will he be?

The kid is hot tonight
Whoa so hot tonight
But where will he be tomorrow?
The kid is hot tonight, whoa

i have to say some Buck Owens "Made In Japan" or some Patsy Cline or even Tracy Chapman. Just as long as it has the oldies but goodies playing, i can listen to anything from Gospel to Instrumentals. I was putting together a C.D. that was nothing but Acoustic Songs, and the main ones that get me going are Hotel California the live version and Simple Man by Shine Down.

If I have my iPod with me I put on some Joe Satriani - satch boogie, surfing with the alien or summer song. I am probably the biggest metalhead you will know(7600 metal songs on a 60gb iPod) but if it is too fast or heavy my game gets a little off. Steve vai or Yngwie Malmsteen are other good choices. Other people like it because there's no words and they don't get tortured with my singing...LOL

Oh man, I can tell you guys don't listen to jazz! What you really want is Miles Davis' "All Blues" or John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme" (Part one-Acknowledgement). Check them out!

music in my head

when running balls(which I feel can only happen in straight pool & practicing alone) in a long string I always hear Al DiMeola.."race with devil on spanish highway"I'm sure everyone has an inner music...some just don't recognize it...or can't describe it but my guess would be it's there, none the less.

I would have to go with the ever popular Warewolves of London. "Vince" style.

classic rock or classic r&b

Anything by the Eagles. I love the classic rock and metal from the 80's
Some leauge nights people play some kinda stuff that sounds like a crack head fighting a cat in heat !??!? IT makes me nuts so I may get an ipod so I
can be the control freak I strive to be :D
