Just got this one last week. Classic design and flawless. Mike makes one hell of a cue. Plays phenomenal. The biggest problem I am having now is which do I play with?:) If you are in the market for a custom, trust me when I say call Mike and you will be SOOOOO glad that you did.

That's nice... can't wait to use that while smoking ya in some 1 hole. Has a similar look to another Cochran I have seen...oh wait that would be mine :D . I will be up soon.Trying to buy a house at the moment...if we can decide on one :confused:

I like the steeel joint. Is it the Krytonyte joint like mine? If it is you may be pttting up thr pretty box veneer cue for your daughter sooner than you were planning!
I have a feeling it will see play as soon as possable. Even though you were looking for a bar cue I think this one is still a little fancy. Send it to me. You need something plainer than that thing to take into bars! Like maybe a Rambo! Just kidding. Enjoy!!
Did you see your old Scruggs has gone to Japan? I wounder what Grady will say when you break that thing out the next time you two play some one hole. I bet he ask's to try it out!!

Nick, another beauty by Mike. One of the greatest cuemakers of all time is finally being recognized for how good he is. And a great guy to boot.

Yes, I agree with Steve.
Mike is one of the most underated Cuemakers.. He and Tim make a great hitting cue with excellent playablilty.. Easy to move the cueball around, effortlessly.
The quality build into their cues shows in their fine workmanship.. Just look at that Bridged Points!!
That's why they are the "Dream Team".. :)
Can you imagine if Bob Frye was still there too.. WOW!! :D

Mike likes David alot. He might be one of the only people to ever get a plain veneer cue Cochran Cue. Bluesteel being the other exception. Probably because he is Davids brother.

Mr. Steve it is a pleasure seeing your cues. You have personally made the cue gallery my favorite AZ section lately! And if anyone knows great cues and cue makers it would be you! And I have to agree!! :D

David is a friend of mine and we shoot a good bit when his women let him out the house. All I know is I've shot with both of those Cochrans and as soon as I hit with the first one he got I really had no choice other than calling Mike as soon as I could... Those pictures are good but no justive done to how well they are made, I'd say you could take a string around those cues and points and veneers alike will match up perfect.
 
Thanks for all the comments guys. Steve, those are some awesome cues that you have been showing. Mike told me about them a while back. Glad to see you post them up. Nick, these are here to stay. And it does have the same joint as yours. Cochrans have a permanent home in Columbia,SC. And Caps, you are dead right. You can move the ball around the table effortlessly with these. When I switched to these, I feel my game jumped to another level. Thanks again to all and to steal a line from someone- Get a Cochran or get beat by one!:)

Nick, I thank you for the extremely nice things you said. A few people asked me why I am showing all these cues online? The reason is because I used to have wall mounted cue cases in my house by the table, and after 6 years of nobody ever looking at them, I figured the heck with this. I took them down cause they were too valuable and nobody gave a damn.
But after given help by Marcus and Joe I finally could take a pic, and I figured who better to want to see them than AZers. Also i figured if I got em, why not show them. So thanks again, and I hope to meet you someday, Nick.

You are right there Nick... unfortunately I owe my brother for helping me acquire my Cochran. I think Dave's new one is really nice and simple, two things that I think give a very traditional look. This one I feel is even simpler than mine due to the engraving mine has in the joint. Dave told me he almost did his wrap like mine, but I am sure he realized he would never here the end of it if he did. However, it wont help him when we get hooked up for some one hole soon :eek: :D (Yes that was a jab taken by a big brother at his little bro!)

I've known this since the 90's... I've had others here in Hawaii who are now believers. Two of them just moved to Vegas. Both bought their Scruggs Cues from me.. And both were among Hawaii's best players at Hawaiian Brian's Billiards.. Gary "O" and Carlton...
 
Acquiring one is hard enough, but two!!! What a fine playing cue Mike builds, after hitting with the others I can say that Mike builds the best
