My best 56 seconds of pool

I was lucky to have one of the high points in my pool playing career captured on video. On November 17, 2001 we had the finals of a local 8-Ball tourney videotaped by a cable company. Unfortunately, the cable recording equipment was set on "extended play" and the video quality is very poor. The cable company was reluctant to air the show because of the poor quality, but finally did air the production. I recorded the show back in 2001 on a VCR and just today transferred it to a DVD. What you see in this YouTube video is just the last shot of the tournament. My opponent had left me without even a one-rail kick at my ball, but I managed to pull off that once in a lifetime shot to win the game and the tournament.

Here's the link to the YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u_JjwsAHKQ

IIRC the equipment wasn't all that great.. which makes the shot even more impressive.

Wasn't there a par 3 course and driving range and really poor snack bar associated with that little pool hall?

I use to play there at lunch with Grant Hamilton... remember him?

Yep, that's the place. It is due to be demolished at the end of next month. Grant was doing the commentary for that tournament.

Great shot and under pressure. Great video to have to cherrish
Congrats,

Great shot!

So many of us arren't fortunate enough to get a spectacular finish like that
on video.
I'll bet that's a shot that will live with you forever!!

Really great shot, especially to put away a tournament. Your opponent must have felt like a kid who had his ice cream stolen. :)
