My best friend and shooting partner is ill.

Yesterday, the love of my life, my best friend, my pool shooting partner was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I will be suspending all my away-from-home pool activities to stay near her and help her physically and emotionally while she goes through this ordeal.

Let me tell you something about my wife....she's a crown jewel. She's every man who has a hobby's dream. Over the years she has let me purchase without any hesitation all the fishing, hunting, shooting, and pool gear that I ever wanted, and over the years I have wanted huge amounts. It is now a standing joke around our house that when I want another cue or case, I tell her it will be the last one I will ever buy. She just rolls her eyes and says "Yeah, I've heard that one before, about seven or eight times".

Anyway, I will still be coming here on AZB to post my opinions in various threads, so you're not rid of me yet.

I would like to ask if there are any prayer warriors in the community to please drop God a line on behalf of my little lady. Thanks in advance.

I will be praying for your Wife. Help her stay strong, as I know you will. This is a tough deal, and my family and I, will certainly pray for a positive outcome. All of my best, to your Wife, and to you as you stand by her side.
Absolute best regards.

I can certainly relate to your dilemma..My loving wife of 36 yrs. lost her battle a few yrs. ago!..I would not wish a pain like that loss, on my worst enemy!..Like yours, she was totally supportive of anything I chose to pursue!..Now its your turn, and I am sure you will step up to the task.

You will need the help and understanding of all those close to you, to get through this very rough time!..Think how lucky we were (are) to have a woman like ours..Most of them are extremely jealous and bitter over our passion for pool, gambling, fishing, or anything that takes time away from them!..Stay strong, and best of luck to you!

SJD

A very heartfelt post SJD, and I am extremely sorry for your loss. :( Losing a loved one is never easy. My Wife just lost her Mother about two weeks ago, at the age of 55. I have never seen her hurt like that, and I hope I never do again. :frown:

So sorry to hear the news of your wife's health. We will be thinking of you and your family during her treatment and recovery.

You are now the caregiver, a very important role in this process and you should be commended. I'm sure your wife appreciates and will appreciate all you will be doing for her. Please don't forget to take a little time for yourself during this process, but she is a lucky women to have you in her life as you are with her.

Many positive thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your wife.

Over the last decade they have made amazing progress in breast cancer treatments and outcomes.

Hoping that your wife will be another of the successful stories.

Sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis. My wife is a breast cancer survivor so we know what both of you are going through. Treatment today is like starwars compared to even a decade ago. So many reasons for a positive outlook. Sending PM.
