Agreed.

Inlays are usually done poorly and too often IMO. I am a fan of using wood that "tells a story" than a bunch of inlays that take away from a cue.

IMO, you have to be an incredible cue maker with a great eye to use inlays. They should compliment the cue instead of take away from it.

I much rather see a cue that has a lot of figure in it, with small or no inlays at all.
