My Brunswick Gold Crown 1 Fixer Upper

Table looks great!!! I was torn between staining mine or painting it again, I went with stain but I left some parts white including the plastic skirts, I figured its easier to go back to paint if I ever decided too.

It's said the "Crown 1" is the finest of all , perfect table , beautiful.
I would empty my living room to have it.

Really nice job on this table- Brings back 1960's pool hall memories for me! For those lucky enough to remember what post Hustler movie early to mid 1960s pool era was all about- there was a whole lot of neighborhood and street cred for the guys who could really play- and this was the table we played!
 
My wife says to me yesterday morning..."let's break in the pool table " knowing that I would say no.. :(
 
Perfecto!! Just to get the seams on the skirts and the aprons perfectly aligned like that is a feat in itself. Same for the pocket hardware to fit so nicely into the rails. I had twenty two of these in my first poolroom and recovering them became such a nightmare that I left the plastic skirts off. Too much trouble and they added nothing to the look of the table.

I tried to talk Bryan out of the plastic skirts but he likes seeing me suffer :banghead:

no way Jay! The skirts finish off the table. Looks naked without them. I might sing a different tune after 22 though. lol
