I purchased this cue last year and dealing with Mike was the best. Not only does the cue look beautiful with the Brazilian Rosewood (The pictures do not do it justice), but is built for playing. I prefer the linen wrap over leather for my game. The balance is perfect. Although the cue is close to 19 oz. it feels lighter. One shaft is about 13mm and one Mike took down to about 12.7.

Bob,

That is a fantastic cue and a very nice example of Mike's work. The long butt sleeve and long points give it a sleek look! Would you please post a picture of the entire cue maybe? It would be nice to see what it looks like as a whole!

Congrats,
David

Will try for better pictures

Thanks David. The veneers look much more defined in person. I have a new camera and will attempt better shots and a picture of the whole cue.
The points are long and perfect. I think Mike called them flame veneers.

As we are slowly heading towards March - and hence hopefully some better weather - you should look for the sunnier hours in the day and help your new camera take better pictures with some natural lighting. That shall make the colours come alive!

These do look like flame veneers, but of the kind that I actually like - I am no fond of those that vividly "burn" with lots of red and harsh yellow in them. To me this is a lot more tasteful design here with the natural colored inside veneer.

Very nice cue, dumb question I know, but could you say something about the "hit"?

Hit

Laser beam accuracy with a hard and crisp hit.
Hay Bob,
If it ever stops snowing up in Baltimore Mike can finish up my latest cue!
I have always liked everything about your cue. I am glad I mentioned to you about just calling him and seeing if he had anything available. You really lucked out!!
How many times have I called to see if you wanted to let it go? Well even after I recieve my next one I may still be calling. I don't know why. The way you talk about the cue it is clear it isn't going anywhere!
Congradulations again,
Nick :)

i really like those inlays.i am not generally a fan of inlays, but those are very tasteful and original looking, which in itself is rare in cues these days.

Love the overall look of the cue. The forearm is beautiful and the design of the ringwork looks great!!

hey

Another beauty by Mike.......I would assume that it plays fantastic. I have my new one coming in a couple of weeks.

Beautiful cue sir. Mike was tops in my book, Tim too. We will all miss Mike. r.i.p.
