My Empire

The "less than 50 cues per year" part is what's making me scratch my head - last time I talked to him, even Bill Schick said he makes about 80 (edit: all of a sudden no longer sure I remember this correctly…). David Kersenbrock?

(Also, not sure how many cues Dave Barenbrugge makes, but he seems like a HOF candidate to me.)

EDIT: Oops!? Completely overlooked either retired or deceased - sorry! :o

Is Paul Fanelli HOF?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

I believe he will be...

Sir, my post was edited out of RESPECT not REGRET...

I'm new in the cue collecting world and I want to keep a solid reputation...

Choose your words the first time and stand by them. Respect is earned...

You said nothing wrong in your origin post. Dean did not give you correct information. He assumed...

Good luck in your search and do your homework. There are a lot of dishonest people out there willing to take your money.

BLACK BOAR enough said....................

He said his budget was $1-7,500.

Why would he want a plane Jane for that much money when he can get a MUCH more collectible cue for his money?

arkansas is a good fellow
i believe he did earn my respect

further i edited my post out of regret and i believe the edit response was correctly aimed at me,and in a kind way

i wish someone would give some helpful advice to address his budget requirements and
cue selection at the same time

i think the mottey is a nice choice and bob farr has a scruggs on az now that would
be a nice fit, really hard to beat

i wouldn't mark off active cue makers either if it were me

i would just pick the ones i really like

Seth,

In that price range I'd go with a Gus, or you may could even get a simpler Balabushka. I know there was one on here a cpl weeks ago in the $6950 range, titlist prong and aluminum rings. Lastly, check out that Coster that was on here a few days ago. Any of those would be the foundation of a damn nice cue collection.

I'll be at Shooters between 1 to 2 on Sunday, in town for the weekend. bring by that new cue of yours! I'd love to check it out!

That was mine, still for sale at that price just don't mind if I keep it or sell it so I stopped bumping it...

Best of luck in your search, sounds like fun to be shopping for a bunch of first class cues!

I'm loving your Balanushka island. :)

I casually mentioned it to my wife, and she casually mentioned the Rolex she has been eyeballing. :((

I'm actually surprised that cue is still available...

All the aforementioned except the part about a Rolex...;)
You sure don't see many of those offered up at that price...seems like a no-brainer to me...Lovely cue IR!
Clint

Balabushka, G Szamboti...

They are the two names that will remain the elite in cue making history no matter what. And there will not be anymore made of either...

Without hijacking Arkansas thread about my Bushka, thanks for the compliments on it. Won't feel so bad if you guys talked him into adding it to his collection...

It was at the top of your quoted budget....it is a super cue by one fantastic cue maker

Don't forget it was offered by an honest and dependable seller. Troy is great to deal with. Aces in my book.
