My Experience at the Tornado Open

Shane should have used his toes as a cue holder since OP said they didn't have a place to rest their cues. One foot would hold four shafts.
 
Maybe the guy took his shoes off , looking for action.

Saw a guy shooting with his foot as a bridge. Played a guy 5 foot 4 who has to shoot through his legs from behind, with stick on the rail. Guy using his foot, kicked a $$.

Thanks for the concern, but I live on some of the highest ground in Tampa, on the West coast, but 35 miles from the Gulf.Johnnyt

Thank you for taking the time to put your thoughts into print. I know it must have been difficult to choose words to describe your feelings about this pool happening.

Having run small pool tournaments, I do realize how hectic and stressful it can be. There are always fires to put out and players with complaints. You can't satisfy everyone, but if Vivian cannot protect the integrity of a competition of this size, she should not tackle such a large pool event with multiple tournaments.

O.B. Has been out of the Seminole Tribe Goverment for some time now. He is not the decision maker there any longer, but I'm certain if he mentioned anything they would always listen. He is without a doubt one of the smartest individuals in this country.
The head man of the tribe nowadays is Mitchell.
 
To the OP. Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of attending this event. I was told face to face from Vivian that I couldn't play the amateur and would have to play the pro. My fargorate was 674 at the time, dropped to 664. Idk there were people I know personally that play better than me in the amateur, but whatever. No big deal.

Anyway sorry to hear it was not enjoyable. Hopefully Vivian hears this and takes it to heart. I've put together a few tournaments. I was lucky that everyone loved them and they were a big success. But if someone had a complaint, I *really* want to hear it, because I want to show how to do it right, and if I missed some things, well I'm gonna do better next time if I hear about it.

Thank you sharing your experience with us, we need honest people like you without motives to share this type of stuff and not worry about the consequences ( as in a player that might be hesitant for fear of future retribution from promoter or other promoters etc ). I can't believe anyone would put their bare feet up in someones face like that. Not just anyones face, but one of the worlds best players, playing a big tournament. Some people just have no class at all! I'm not a guy that usually get bothered easily while at the table, but I have to say that this would make me react. Stinking feet in peoples faces? Someone call Joe Pesci to smack that guy over his inconsiderate head with his own cellphone!

..and Angel's account is pretty well corroborated by some friends that were there.

And I love how Angel treated one of her elders....the way most of us were raised.

Nice post, Angel. Thanks for giving us all a bird's eye view of this event.

Aside from the added money problems that seem to come up in a lot of events, it sounds like it was really an unpleasant experience for the players, the spectators, and the vendors.

Hi DMGW!

I didn't even scratch the surface on the money or scheduling or anything other than what I thought was an indicator on whose interests she serving, her own.

It is my hope that the tribe would reconsider an event using a quality representative
other than this woman, ever!

As I said in my post, I honestly don't think we will have to worry about another VV fiasco at the HRC Seminole, unless of course she is in fact in deep with them or one of them is deep in her.
