I bought a 1963 Brunswick Gold Crown I table back in January and have been working steadily over the past 2 months getting the room re-done and getting the table setup.

I took some pictures (iPhone) of the process from beginning to end, so I thought I'd share them...

Here's the details of what I put into it:

Re-painted the room
Re-carpeted the room
New pool table light
New Delta-13 rack with leather quieting inserts
New Super Aramith Billiard Balls
New Rubber and pocket facings for the table
New Simonis 860 Cloth

We used several machinist levels to get it as level as possible. It plays like a dream! I waited 15 years to get my own table and finally have one...

Looks great! You're going to love having your own table - and your game will probably go up a couple of notches too.

How big are the pockets?

Chris

Looks great as everyone has said. I like the table a lot, nothing like a good vintage table.

You put a lot of work into this project but it was a labor of love. Now that it's done, you can relax and enjoy. Wish I lived near you - would love to play on that table. By the way, you did a fantastic job and thanks for posting the pics. I really enjoy seeing pictures of projects like this. Hopefully, this will inspire more people to post their projects.

I love the table in classic white. You did a great job. Prepare to ruin your marriage...haha

sjensen1207...Nice table, and great job getting your room done! Now we've got a play to work together in, so I just need to get down to MO (very likely on my way back from the BCAPL nationals next month).

You bring back a lot of memories of doing the basement rec room. Worked on it for years while going to night school. Got it finished and waited for the pool table delivery. Sat at the game table with a beer and was ready to play some cards. The problem was there was no one else because they were all in bed. It was about 2 AM and I had a few days off during the holidays and wanted to get it done.

It is a great feeling.

Nice looking room and table.

Now you need a kegerator.

I have a 63 Tangerine GCI as well. I'm in the process of setting it up.
Did you notice if your pocket casters had a date scribbled on the inside of them like mine do?

Awesome set up by the way!

Nice job! That table is almost 50 years old and still looks great. And I'm sure it plays great too!

Great looking table and room! Hope it brings you as much happiness as you anticipate, and more. Thanks for posting.
