I think KT will disappear off into the sunset, never to be seen by the pool/billiard world again. He had no major ties to the industry before, and his reputation will be no worse than when he started.
KT will tell the players that Stanley Ho owes them their money (I'm not convinced Ho has ever heard of the IPT, and he may not even think the whole thing even warrants a response.)
Any income from qualifiers, ticket sales, video sales, T.V. rights, etc. will end up in an offshore account. Then the IPT will dissolve.
The players who spent time & money to participate in this venture will likely have little or no recourse. They will just have to settle for the money they got for earlier IPT events.
The real victim here will be Deno. He is a young guy with long ties to the pool/billiards industry. I know Deno, and I believe him to be a stand-up individual. I believe he fell for the KT/Jedi mind trick, and repeated the lies from KT believing them to be true. Unfortunately, it looks like he will be left holding the bag.
I wish Deno the best, and hope he can recover from his guilt by association. I believe he really intended to elevate the sport to a new level, and good things may spring from what has started. He has a long life ahead, and I hope he can return to the industry.
JMHO, and for the sake of pool, I hope I'm wrong.
