if thats what you know, then who am i to disagree with "reports" by "someone". i saw the videos and it was mockery at the other persons expense. if mister strickland is cool with it then perhaps hes not beset by the mental problems everyone says. i just think hes got a bad temper and anger issues. then again , i dont know any of these people.bad temper doesnt make him in need of help. anything i say is just guesswork, like most the posters. i do find earl more entertaining and real than joe rogan though.i see lotsa people in pool with worse behavior than his. when you go pro or win some titles is it supposed to change your personality?? this i dont get.
outta here
You can disagree and offer a opinion like anyone else. Nothing wrong with that. I was just asking where this line of thinking came from. I have never seen, nor heard anything, that indicated that Joe Rogan being there was in any way unpleasant for Earl. As I said, everything points to everyone having a good time with Joe there, including Earl.
Earl catches crap from everyone about all the equipment he uses. He's even participated in laughing about the whole equipment thing, when others have wore headphones or arm weights. That video is good clean fun and if the worst someone said about me was that I wore a beekeeper's outfit, I'd be offended that that was all they came up with
In regards to your comment about Earl being more "real" then Joe, I would have to disagree. I see Earl handling his fame in a completely different manner then Joe does. I think we call can agree, Joe Rogan's fame factor is on a completely different scale then Earls' is. Joe is known by millions and millions of people with hit primetime TV shows and millions and millions of UFC fans all over the world that know who he is.
I think the criteria of someone being labelled as being "real" when their famous, requires them to stay grounded and be just a average Joe to their fans. Someone who acts just like a regular guy, even though he's famous. To me, Earl comes off as someone who is "above" all of his fans. He is constantly reminding everyone of who he is. He expects to be treated differently then anyone else because of who he is. He has that "I am entitled to be treated like a king" When dealing with fans, he treats them like crap and dismisses them as nobodies.
Joe, on the other hand, is just a regular guy, in spite of him being famous. He doesn't come off as someone who needs his ego stroked and is very friendly and accessible to his fans. He enjoys hanging out with us "regular folk" Look at this weekend as a example. He's got a hectic work schedule getting ready to host a prime time UFC fight being shown to millions and millions of fans all over the world and he is thrilled to death to come down to the TAR studio and watch some pool. Even gets in the booth for several hours. He doesn't come in with a "posse" of people with him, he doesn't get paid anything for his time there and anyone hearing his commentary, could hear that he was thrilled to death being there.
If that's not enough, how about this.... On Sat night, he's working the UFC Ultimate Fight Finale, broadcast to millions of people all over the world on a major tv network and he's constantly texting Justin to find out the score to this pool match. In the middle of this huge live event, his mind is on the score of the match.
Joe is very cool and very down to earth, and gives off no sense of superiority and no sense of entitlement because of who he is. Earl gives of the direct opposite. He gives off that people should be worshiping him, that they should be treating him like a king. And if you think because you're just Joe Shmoe, that you can come up to him and shake his hand, well he's got a message for you... F&*k off.
That's my opinion anyways, my opinion is worth no more than anyone else here.

I try to keep it real myself.
