Almost scary how anyone could deal with this guy considering all that's gone on with how he runs his business. Unless of course you are getting a discount or freebie. Then you're an accomplice for coming on here and spouting what a great guy/cuemaker he is.
This is really sickening and I can only hope people will read these threads and think twice about dealing with him in the future.

Cincy, if it were me and it's not, I would demand my money back and tell him to keep the cue.

I agree the problem is when i ordered it they were the perverbial s&*t and now it has taken a turn for the worse.

When these people say "quit dealing with him" and "his cues suck" and "why would you buy from him" you have to remeber when i "bought" there wasnt an ill word said about him and maybe and a big maybe only one or two bad dealings i could find on him and his rep at that time was great.

I go back and reread some old posts and people who hate him now loved him when i ordered the cue. How was i supposed to know he would turn into a crook

I know in hindsight its easy to say just ask for your money back and quit dealing from him but , i like to try out all kinds of cues and have played with 100's but when i ordered it and PAID he was in good standing and that is not the case now.

No doubt man. I guess what I was trying to say is that, hopefully, based on yours and others recent experiences, people will stop believing the hype and find a reputable cuemaker, even if it costs a few hundred dollars more. You and I both know it would be well worth it in the end.

Cincy, I know this doesnt help much right now, but if you can get this worked out, I would highly recommend Steve Lomax (stevel on here). He is as straight up as they come and makes the best hitting cue I have ever had. JMO.

This thread is an "unpleasant" one, which is the word that I used to describe this thread. To be exact, my words were: unpleasant threads seem to garner more attention.

I used the word "unpleasant" to refer to this thread's subject matter.

What happens thereafter in this thread, IMO, with the multiple posts describing Varney, is, in my opinion, a flame about a man named Varney. I used the word "flame" to describe the way this thread has multipled.

Let me try to convey my opinion to you, so that you will understand what I meant.

This thread was initiated 2 days ago. There are 10,500 hits to the thread -- [ETA: as of the time of this writing]. Though the subject matter of the thread is unpleasant, I do believe that this thread has a little flame to it as it pertains to Varney.

Hope this helps clarify my opinon to you a little more clearly.

From Varney to Wheat? Are you serious?

There are plenty of well established, reputable cuemakers that are far more deserving of your dollars. Their cues are better, their customer service is better. Mike Gulyassy posted in this thread. He's one of many examples of a better choice.
