Naysayers Unite

Let's start a list of the pros that use it. First we have....

1) Stevie Moore

2. Matt Krah

3. Bustamante (Dave Segal reported this after talking with Francisco)

4. Jason Klatt (my deduction from Stan Shuffett's hints)

Or they were paid to use it???????

Does Shane use a Cuetec because it's the best cue?

Paid to use an aiming system???? WTF? Are you for real?

Well, I for one think the naysayers aquitted themselves admirably here. Some resistance was met, but all-in-all I believe we won the day. For a time there I thought this thing might go on for years and cost hundreds of thousands of lives. Well done, men.

I am in agreement with Joey about a sub-forum, but not for us.

I was under the assumption that there would be no more fighting between us. I've adhered to those terms.

Not when you imply Stan's students are paid to represent him. They paid for lessons from one of the best instructors around. If your going to make stupid, unsubstantiated comments about a man with the integrity of a Stan Shuffet, then you will feel my wrath. Your getting off easy here but you are warned.

How am I getting off easy? There are others here going way above what I've said so far.

It's a fair question. Pro players are paid to use certain cues, so why couldn't they be paid to represent other products, including aiming system dvd's.

Why accuse people of things you know nothing about? you didn't ask a question you made an accusation.

aiming schmaiming

the problem with aiming systems is that they are created from coincidental patterns. much like that numerology hokum, making something out of nothing. like in science and mathamatics, when there are too many variables involved, theories fail.

i believe that most people, when it comes to getting stuck on the odd shot, use an aiming method of one sort or another to assist in visualizing an angle, be it ghostball, contact point, CTE. while any aiming system won't make the ball for you (which i think is what many people expect), it's there to give you a general start in finding the right cut angle for a shot.

much like walking down the street, or the path doesn't look the same for everyone, but we all manage to get there somehow....most of us anyway.

I'm not taking sides here, but in post #62, which by the way is unedited, clearly has a buttload of question marks immediately following the "paid to use" words.

Kinda of but not really.Im really good at pocketing balls but that's not going
make me a world champion wouldnt you agree?

Kinda of but not really. What the hell does that mean?
In regards to your question; it can't hurt.

Sorry my bad Tramp ,a shot making contest would be no different than a pool
tour.I dont know what i was thinking.

Ok, I want you to REALLY dig deep here an think REAAAAAAALY hard about this one...

How much money would you have to pay a professional player to use an aiming system that "doesn't work"?

And if you did somehow pay them enough... how do you plan on recouping those losses? From a DVD????? wow..

Just please, break down the costs...

Stan paid a production company to film, edit and master a dvd. Then paid Discmakers to replicate the dvd. Even charging $40/per, he MIGHT be making $7 or $8 per dvd profit. At this rate, if he sold 1000 copies (guessing he wont) thats about $8k profit that Im sure hes cutting up a piece to Stevie for being in it.

Cuetec sells thousands and thousands of cues all over the world at a much better profit margin and can afford to pay professionals to use their products.

Anyway you look at this, its the most ridiculous thing you could come up with.

Now one more time, if you DID somehow pay them and they were using it, wouldn't their game fall apart if it didn't work?

Don't feel badly Tramp, you have my permission to quote me: I said, "Maybe the Naysayers should have their own separate forum where they all could be miserable together. "

JoeyA (thinks Tramp should try and call a muster. :p)

It's all in fun, Joey. In a couple of months this thing will resurrect and we'll do it all over again. Kind of keeps the juices flowing. Peace brother. :)

I think I will have to create a naysayer-group on yahoo, where we can freely discuss how cte does not work without constantly being trolled by the pivotists.
