Need Prayers for Mike Webb

GoFundMe…Can a screen name be used instead of posting actual name.

As of now the go fund me is at
$23,790 raised
$30K goal·226 donations
That is great…….$6k more is all that’s needed but let’s keep in mind that was a guesstimate before Mike’s condition and pending heart surgery was going to happen. Ultimately, a more realistic goal should be a lot higher amount but be that as it may, let’s make sure the current GoFund campaign is successful and there isn’t reason it couldn’t raise $50k if we tried.

So all it takes is spread the word and lean a bit on your fellow players…..start a jar fund at the local pool hall for the rest of this month. Each time you go to play pool, toss the loose change in your pocket or peel off a single dollar bill and put it in the jar. Tell your friends to donate. If just 50 pool halls did this and collected just $50, that $2500 and if more was collected or more donation jars were put out, that would help relieve Mike’s family of the worry and stress that his medical bills will impose. And know what? I’d do the same for you. We’re a community and not everyone cares or thinks alike but a lot of us do. So let’s give this our best attempt & make a really good news outcome happen for Mike sooner rather than later on.

Was set at 16k when started and bumped up to 30k the next so think goal is set to auto raise as donations come in.

So true if just places put a jar out or held a tournament for him it would be a great help.

Know 2 pool rooms in my local area are hold benefit tournaments for him. One is already set up and advertised and the other one is being set up between a league owner and poolroom.

More good news!! Thanks for keeping us informed.
Latest news received is. Mike is doing well. Recovery is going in a slow though very positive direction.

When hear anything else will post it.

As for the "thanks". Your welcome, though in reality, it is myself who has to Thank You All, who has taken time out of your day to help Mike out in any way you can. Broke my heart to start this thread, did not want too do it. Though, personally thought had to be posted. Mike needs us right now and that is happening. Thank you all again for helping Mike.

Respect too all.

Hello everyone, to those involved in the pool world in New England, Mike Webb has been an institution and an aide to many of us who enjoy this game. He is currently going through medical issues and in support we will be having a tournament to benefit him and try and raise some money to help him and his sisters with the expenses involved. We will have a rated 8 ball tournament on Saturday April 19th at 11 AM at Rackem Up Billiards in Fall River MA. It will be $35 to play. Half of all funds will go to help Mike and the other half we all can play for. If you don't play pool or can't make it that day we will have a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction to try and help as well. Please feel free to alternatively donate to the go fund me that has been set up in his name. Anything helps. Thank you all and hope to see as many of you there as possible that day.

It looks like Mike had his surgery which is excellent news.

I hope his recovery goes well and he’s back home soon.

As someone that’s recovering from double bypass surgery just under 5 weeks ago.
The recovery in my case is at least three months and the first week after surgery can be pretty hard.

So I and many others should continue to pray for his recovery and well being going forward.
On the 21st I will be evaluated for cardiac rehab which may last another two months.

It’s all a lot to deal with as others know that went before us into such a surgery.

Get well Mike wishing you good health you’re on the path to recovering!!!

I touched base with Mike's Sister today. His surgery has been postponed until at least this coming Monday, while he continues to regain his strength. He is supposed to have his first real meal today, and begin some form of physical therapy. He was able to stand with some assistance, for the first time in two weeks. His family is aware of the love, support, and the GoFundMe campaign that is in place for Mike. They are very thankful to all of you.

I don't know how I've missed this but I am happy to see Mike is trending upward, albeit challenging. Mike has been to my home a few times and I sure do consider him a friend. We keep in loose touch and it's always a pleasure when we connect.

Get better very soon, Mike. Prayers and positive thoughts are coming your way.

You are important to your family, friends and the pool community.

@Quesports
wish you a speedy recovery and uneventful rehab....🙏🙏
Thank you. I’m 72 weighed 145 going in. Lost 15 pounds in one week, mostly muscle mass.
It’s going to be a long road back. Hoping to do that over the next twelve months.
This surgery kicked my ass.

My normal routine was working out six days a week. Now nothing until I get clearance.

In June I have another surgery for a hernia caused by all the coughing in the heart rehab unit following the bypass!

That will take another month to heal from..

I pray that Mike has an easier road than I have before me.

On a bright note, they probably saved my life from a massive heart attack! It’s not all bad, I’m still here and moving forward!!

Thnx for the inspiration bbb!
