I am a huge fan of the game and I gotta say, that looks bloody horrible.
Lets be honest, the film is about prostitution "I don't know what to do, soandso keep pushing me to hustle!!!". Clear and obvious pimp/prostitute correlation, only pool does not work like that. Then she is beat up in a later scene? Anyone wanna lay odds the pimp... err I mean backer did it?
This game has alot of potential for a quality movie release, this is not it though, not even close.
Someone with alot of money and an actual connection to top quality studio should get McGoorty modified, turned into a screenplay, and get a movie made that spans the golden era of pool until today following the life of a good shortstop through the eras of the game. A movie like that, Forrest Gump-like in its traverse through history and meeting the larger then life characters this game has to offer. There is a scene in Danny Dileberto's book that would make a killer movie scene with Luther Lassiter in it. There are a slew of events in this game you could movie through that would make for a highly engrossing movie.
