New Case for Eddie0776

Newest case off the bench for eddie0776. Several improvements/refinements for a better end product. Instead of the hard plastic luggage feet I used to use, the new feet are rubber for non-slip even on smooth surfaces like hardwood or linoleum floors. I also changed the attachment points to metal hangers. Also redesigned the shoulder pad so its now larger with a nice piece of suede against the shoulder for no slippage.
But the biggest is of course my new Armor~Soft interior. This is the first case to feature it, and with a change to 6-7 oz leather as opposed to the 8-9 I used previously it is comparative in weight to any leather case out there, with best in class protection.
This case is a 3x6, with "L" zippered pockets, my inside the lid compartment and hand carved personalization.

Another clean and elegant case.
I don't care what others say about how it's another Jay Flowers design or nothing new and boring, i say it's tougher to better a classic since there's a benchmark. Like why Searing still has market for simple 4 pointers.
Importantly i appreciate that you continuously improve on your built techniques and engineering and have that at pedestal over fancy design, tooling or materials unlike certain new case makers.

Thank you! For me its all about evolution of the classic. Quality will never go out of style, and CQI is the goal. Creating a WOW experience is about more than getting someones attention with flashy.

Thank you! I dont know if Ill ever make what I feel is the "perfect case", but I keep striving for it. Every case I make I learn something I use to make the next one better than the last. If you ever settle for good enough, youll soon find out its not.

I had headaches getting my templates made for the new cases. I make my rough templates with scrap leather, then draw them in a CAD program. I send the drawing off to a person who laser cuts them out of acrylic. The person I use to cut them out was extremely busy, and the first set took longer than expected. When they showed up, they were broken from rough shipper handling, and or insufficient packaging. So I had to get them recut, which added even more time. But as it stands Im almost back on track time wise....lol
