New Cue completed by Manwon at Full Splice Billiards

Here is a cue that I just completed from a very good friend and one hell of a Pool player. I converted this cue from a Brunswick Balk Collender one piece two veneer Butterfly cue from around 1910. I am unsure of the wood in the butt and the points but I believe it to be Wenge, the reddish orange wood also used in the forearm I have not identified. The rings are simulated Pearl with real Ivory centers. The cue has a 30 inch butt and 30 inch shaft for a total of 60 inches as requested, the cues weight is 19.3 oz with out a weight bolt.









I think this one turned out real sweat, enjoy.

Thanks to everyone who posted, and especially to those who recognise my signature style. I really love the old school cues, and I have taken from those designs to express myself, some may call it copying but each cue I build has it differances and there are a number of techniques used in building my cues that are unique.

They do look very similar, what type of wood do you think was used. I think the dark wood was wenge, but I have no idea was the reddish orange wood is.

the orange on mine is padauk
the dark, i think is some type of walnut, judging by the smell
that's a conversion of a one pc i did about 4 years ago, kept for myself
i'm converting it again :wink:
not sure what to call a conversion of a conversion , LOL

Looks like Padauk to me.
