New cue Mystery wood?

I don't think it's tulipwood or olivewod, the pore patterns are completely different plus there is a flame grain neither wood possesses. That narrows it down to thousands of other species. It is nice looking and so is the cue itself everything goes together.
canarywood? Possibly a alves variety
It is Carribean Rosewood. It is slightly straight grained and will have dark and light spots thru out the wood. I have 3 in process of Carribean now. It is great wood.
This is exactly what it looks like!
If Joey and Eric say it's canary, I believe it's canary.

Chechen, chechem, caribbean rosewood, etc. are all names for the same wood. It's usually much darker than the wood in the cue. Pics:

As you can see, there are strong similarities in grain structure but two distinctly different woods. There likely are some lighter color variations of chechen but I have personally never seen it. It's always dark brown except for the sapwood & it is a pale sandy yellow. The canary is more yellow/orange & often has the red streaks. Both woods are beautiful examples of stuff we don't see in cues nearly enough.
