New kamui chalk

I will be interested to see the difference...

I have found that once people try the Kamui chalk, I usually sell a cube the next time I see that person

The best think Kamui could do would be to drop the price,
I think the product stands up on it's own merit and would be more accepted if the price was lower, maybe in the 10.00 range

You don't think $10 is still too much?

You don't think $10 is still too much?

I charge 35.00 a cube....Where I'm at my actual cost is 30.00...

I gladly pay the price for myself...

I just think that at 10.00 I could sell a ton, like I say

After using it I feel that this chalk sells itself...easier at say 10.00

The chalks big selling point is it is supose to stop miscues. Miscues don't really happen if you chalk right after every shot good chalk (Masters or BD to name 2). Miscues happen if you hit the CB too far out from the center of the CB and other reasons that DON'T happen with a good stroke. When chalk is left on the CB through no fault of the shooter you get skids that are not your fault. The only way to stop it is to clean the CB. So pay $25-$30 for a chalk that stops what you can stop yourself and adds skidding that you can't do anything about yourself. I'll pass on this chalk thank you. Johnnyt

I am playing with the BK2 with the factory tip... IE.. Phenolic.... With Kamui I don't have to stay inside the safe zone... I can go out to the edge just like I was using leather.... This tells me that there is definitely a higher coefficient of friction to this chalk.....

Since I cannot eliminate the miscues I was getting using Masters and Blue Diamond without swapping back to leather tips I will gladly wipe the cueball often and hopefully I won't get a skid..

I know that there is likely a higher chance of skidding using the Kamui but it's a risk I don't mind if I get to use my chosen tip.....

Maybe if you don't include sunk cost in production facilities and research and possibly labor, but considering they haven't been around for decades like master, I am sure the price per unit is quite a bit higher.

This is the reasoning for consumers to still being screwed in the backside for CDs. I'm not buying it.

You're not buying what? The fact that Kamui must have dumped a butt load of cash to into production facilities before even producing their first piece of chalk?

New kamui chalk guys, they say it much improved from the red one and does not make the cue ball messy???
Itsmuch heavier now at 1.21 compare before at 0.98
Have not tried it!!!

Can we send back the "lower quality" chalk and get a replacement?

Will there be a recall?

Only if you can show them in a video of yourself using the chalk and miscuing.

You know that I am only joking, right John.

LOL, after two years of research and development the 0.98 gets some public feedback and lo and behold the 1.21...its totally different!! JB, I'm sure you can get a trade-in price for the "good" stuff.
:p

3 times a year, Tide becomes new and improved. And has been that way ever since I have been washing clothes.
That must mean that the Tide that I Originally started using was complete crap.

new and improved in a much smaller amount. Johnnyt

Has anyone verified this is the real deal. Only reAson I ask is there is no mention on Kamui website.

I thought I remembered the .98 being the 98th revision, not the size or weight.

I think the op was somebody special who got some early perhaps? Good question though.

If it is the real deal, it does raise a lot of questions. So everyone that just paid the premium price and just bought a piece of the "old" chalk should now feel they dont even have the worlds finest chalk anymore. Something is amiss here.

The NEXT product from Kamui is going to be an Aiming System. After tips and chalk they are going to revolutionize the way we aim. The only way to get it will be to pay $15,000 in non-cancelable bearer bonds. Once paid you will be informed where to go and someone will come and whisper the information into your ear.

Thats not to mention that Black King Tips are in the right position to take over the tip market.

They are getting rave reviews right now. This time next year, every one will be using a Black King Tip and Kamui will be eating dust. Chalk Dust.

Someone will come up with a comparable formula for lip stick chalk and John Bertone will be looking for a job.

The way my 0.98 chalk is going, I will be 2 years before my cube runs out.
I really like what I have and am glad to be getting the benefit of the product.
