Holy crap... That is the most awesome ST I've seen! Congrats!
Eric... That is breath taking...

:thud: WOW!!!!

That thing is awesome... Is that lighter wood maple burl?

Not too shabby Mr. Crisp.

Wanna sell it? :grin-devilish:

Congratulations Chuck,
Chris

Chris - Didn't your parents teach you to share!!! I thought that with you getting the biggest ST, it might slow down your SUGAR acquisitions, and allow the rest of us to get a dose of sugar.
But it hasn't seemed to work yet:grin-square:

This cue looks very nice, and I like the lower points coming off the scallops. love the wood used in the handle and points - looks great in the pics, so it must look even better in person.

Not quite my style, but CONGRATS - it will be a player - but you already know that:wink:

Can't wait to see the other Sugars that will be unveiled at the Midwest cue show!!

They will probably make my new2me cue look small, but I guess I can live with that, at least until my new one comes to fruition(some time in the far distant future). :grinning-moose::grin-devilish::woot::dance::bow-down:

Thanks Chris. yes the points and handle are maple burl, the forearm and butt are cocobolo, and the scallops are ebony.

Nope, not for sale! This will be a monster player.

Chuck

Monster cue man definitely. I went to his photobucket a couple of hours ago and had a thought "go to the gallery browse" and here she is. That is a very nice cue. Eric is definitely an innovator!!

I'm glad you like it Chuck. I was nervous about the design because even though I could visualize it, I had no idea how it would look in reality. I showed it to Wes Hunter a little bit ago & he was intrigued. He, as you know, is a quite accomplished builder as well and can dissect the cue construction. After a blank stare for a few moments he realized the work involved & kinda giggled. He loves it. There's 16 points & 32 butterfly scallops, a total of 48 splices. Do them 4 at a time, clamp. 4 more & clamp, 4 more & clamp, etc. Every 4 splices requires a day to cut, glue & cure. The only other cue that required this much work was the ivory pointed cue CMD now has. Cues like this are challenging and fun.

Aw... come on Chuck!

I am very happy for you, Sir. I know this cue plays. The one thing about Eric's cues that amazes me is the consistency he achieved in playability. The maple burl is gorgeous. I truly love this design because of the creativity involved.

Have a great time at the show and enjoy your new cue!

Travel safe,
Chris

my favorite "fancy" ST yet. The only other fancy(I can think of) one is 08 ivory one its a close race but I like this one a hair better-a real thin hair.:grin-square: i like thin hairs:eek:

ANYWAYS.........I love all Eric's cues, I havent met one I didnt like. Good stuff buddy.

Thanks guys for all the great comments about this cue!!! As Eric explained there is a lot of work in this cue, and it was his vision that he wanted to build. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. I am very proud of this one and will make it my main player. If you can't play it, it ain't woth having. Eric also sent me a bunch of in progress pics of the build process of this one. CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT IN PERSON!!

Chuck

Received the cue yesterday. Added a couple pics with shafts. Pics just don't do this cue justis at all. It is an amazing piece of work and it plays superb!! Eric spilled the magic dust all over this one. Thanks so much to Eric for a beautiful player!!!!

Chuck

coco forearm (maybe kam-phi?)
curly/birdseye maple handle
african blackwood scallops

Did I get that right? Very similar to a cue I have had on order for a very long time, actually.

A Masterpiece!

That is one sweet cue you got there sir. I got excieted after looking at your pics and sent Eric an e-mail on a project he is working on for me. Small potatoes compared to your Monster, but I'm excieted waiting to see my cue!
Again, enjoy it in good health.
