new venue for streaming

I know compatition is supose to be good in most cases, but in this case I'm not so sure. TAR, the #1 in PPV streaming action match ups seems to have a hard enough time bringing us one good match up a month. Sometimes nothing for months. I know this new venue is on the Eastcoast, 2000 miles from the TAR studio, but I think it's going to hurt both streamers.

One thing is for sure, if the new place can fill 70 seats @ $50 a pop for 2 or 3 nights it will do alright. But filling anywhere near that many seats will be hard to do. Both studios need large sponsrors for it to work. Johnnyt

Heres a picture of the newly finished Brunswick ten footer...

Nothing is scheduled yet. Just getting things ready to go.

The theater seating looks great. Kind of reminds me of the seating at Starcade Billiards in Fort Walton Beach Florida.

Wishing much success!

looks nice

Wow that looks really nice. It may just compliment what TAR is doing by making the format more popular and giving it a larger following. Also it will make it more affordable for the east coast players to match up.

Mike
I thought you liked to stake Earl not Shane. It wouldn't be fair for Shane to cut his backer out of the rematch. Not that I think SVB would ever think of doing that.

Klink...I talked to Mike about this place last Sept. in Dallas. At that time, he said the plan was to put Earl up against any comers. Sure looks like a great place, no matter who plays there.

I like to bet on winners.

There is new place to go to play matches and watch the best pool players compete, and even players that are not the best. Anyone can play a match that just want to be streamed over the internet. The place is in Coco Beach Florida. There are 2 tables set up, a 5 x 10 Gold Crown and a 4 1/2 x 9 Gold Crown. There are 70 theater seats upstairs around the 5 x 10 with a sound proof commentator booth. It has 4 9/16 pockets with Artemus rubber and plays perfect. It is the same table that Shane and Earl played on in Youngstown Ohio. It has been completely redone by Mark Gregory, owner of Perfect Pockets. He has turned what used to be a gaffed table into a perfect playing Gold Crown. It rolls beautiful and accepts the balls exactly like it should. It plays so good that if Shane would play Earl again on the same table I will steak Shane. I admit that when Shane agreed to play Earl on the table in Youngstown after he played on it, I was shocked because the table was impossible for me to play on. I hung up about every hard shot I attempted because the pockets would not accept anything except dead center, no green. Now because of Mark Gregory's unbelievable knowledge of table restoring and making the pockets exactly the same with the new Artemus cushions and exact pocket angles, the table is perfect. It is the best 5 x 10 table in the country. Sounds like bull well all I can tell you is go check it out. It is at 161 North Atlantic Avenue in Coco Beach Florida. You can call Gary Patrick to get in to see the venue at 321-508-4048. It is Gary Patrick's building and he has spared no expense to create the perfect pool venue for streaming. If you have any questions about setting a match call Gary or me Mike Gulyassy at 864-458-7662. Any questions about the tables call me. The tables are right on the Ocean and easily accessed by Interstate 95 in Florida. It will be completed and ready for matches in a few weeks. Some of you Florida players need to go and check it out, like Cory or Rodney to see what we have. There will be action, there will be.

I spent quite a few hours on the phone with Mark while he was working on that table, I knew it was going to turn out perfect right from the start. Mark is one hell of a table mechanic and really knows what he's doing, especially on THAT table, not that it turned out any better than any other table he works on. My hats off to Mark for being so damn good at what he does:thumbup: the rest is up to you Mike, but at least now you have a table that won't let you down...or bite you in the a$$;):D

Thank you Glen for the long conversation we had on the phone.....until we finally figured out how to calibrate the artemis cushions better now than we did before....what a major difference in the play.
The new things that we put together are going to be awesome for the play of tables.
This one is staying in the bag.....no free be's on this calibration for everyone.
Mike was hitting balls and said I can't believe how this table plays.......great feeling after working on the table for 3 weeks to convert it to a pool table.

(Table plays as good as it looks in the pic.)
Thanks

So who whupped on who? If Mike won, then we can tell everyone you were tired from a full day's work (or 10 day's!)
