The clear facts are that he knew BEFORE Reno that he would not, for whatever reason, be able to pay the full prize purse and yet he continued with the tournament and lied to everyone about it before, during and afterwards for weeks.
His public statements since Reno have been contradictory and self-serving so they simply cannot be sensibly taken by anyone at face value. If he "will never allow pool players to take a financial hit" why did he simply not paid Reno out of his own pocket? Why believe it when he says "I want to make sure that the players are always put first" when he previously said "The wealthiest people in the world do not continually fund businesses out of their personal assets". This quite clearly means he is putting profit first before the players.
Yes, you can chose to give him a break and thank him for trying to put right perfectly avoidable mistakes that he made himself. It's your money and your time and you can do what you want with it. Unfortunately so can KT.

IMO, you're not even close to being a world class player. You saw the IPT as an opportunity for some quick cash. Do us a favor and wait quietly for Kevin's dirty money and then drift back into obscurity where you and most of the other IPT faithful belong. The IPT is something that pool needs to move past in order for it to survive,grow and mature to its full potential. If you actually cared about pool you would be trying to help the game recover from this mess instead of sitting around crying about money that was used to bait you and the others into KT's dreamworld. IMO, anyone that has allegiance to Kevin Trudeau is part of the problem - and the game of pool would be better off without all of you. That may sound harsh, but I truly believe that.

This last letter was the first time kt "put in writing" that there is a possibility that there won't be a HO deal. Even states a contingency plan... a convicted felon taking a underfunded company public himself.
in order for a company to be "approved" after filing bankruptcy, they must show the court that they attempted to pay the debt. kt first offered the players a 1/3 payout. This was met with stiff resistance. I figured this was his way of being able to show the court in the future that he atleast tried.
In a VERY, VERY clever move, he basically made the same deal, but worded it differently. He outlined the same 1/3 payment, over 3 months. 3 payments show a greater effort than 1 payment, in the eyes of the court. Notice how there is no definitive payout schedule past the 1/3 payment. He only said that the rest would be paid in full before the next tournament. He might as well have said, "I promise to pay double what i owe you before the next event".
Right now he says he will refund the 2k for qualifiers. But will that be enforcable, either voluntarily or involuntarily after he files for bankruptcy? NO!
All this is, is a clever way to show the court a genuine effort on his part. The only reason for it, imo, is to stay out of jail.
And btw, you can only call yourself an ipt player for another 12 days. I'm counting.

I just found the player's meeting from the World Open. I THOUGHT I had taped it, but never knew what I did with the teeny cassette once I got back. He did mention how long it took to get businesses off the ground and to see a return and that he could not predict the outcome of the tour and that there will always be changes.
NOWHERE did I see any sign of lying! Ok, ok, you're going to say his lips were moving, but really, I did not see the usual signs of prevarication. Either:
1. he is so good at it,
2. he truly believes in what he is saying, or
3. he fully expected the money to be there by Sunday,
but he never once stalled, shifted gears, or shifted his glance, either.
I will try to post it somewhere and let you get a look, maybe after the holidays.

To be fair I cannot 100% PROVE that either 2 or 3 may not also be true. However to me adequate proof is in his clearly contradictory statements over the Ho deal. To belive in Ho you must accept he was publicly lying about his intentions for the IPT right from the start, including all the $100k per year nonsense. (He claimed he was working on Ho over a year ago which puts it before even the BD interview) If you don't believe in Ho then he's clearly just lying to cover up the fact he is either unable or unwilling to pay for Reno and meet his declared obilgations for 2007.
Of course I wasn't there in those meetings getting KT at full blast first person. Had I the talent to have been I'm sure I would have WANTED to believe it. That, of course, is 99% of the way to geting people to accept what you are saying as the truth and KT knows this full well.
