Next great young player?

True story Chris....he just turned 5 yrs old in july. I just called his dad and he wants to set up a tar match with you an him. He wants to play straight pool though...I know you don't like straight pool.

ok ill play the5 year old straight pool.
i might play straight pool good who knows it might be my game.

I'll take a leap and say one of those young guys from Oklahoma like Chip Compton or Joey Grey or any of those young guys that run in that pack...theyre all around 21. Great players too!

I second justin bergman for a u.s. player. He seems to play better for the money than in tournaments though.

Wu Chia Ching for taiwanese. Back to back world titles at age 17 is pretty damn impressive to me.

I don't know if he has been mentioned, but I think Brenden Crocket has the potential to be ranked #1 at some point in his life.

i will strive to be the best player in the world in the next 5 years.i got the heart and desire.and i will get there.

Best of luck Tyler!!! Great positive attitude. Look forward to seeing you out there with the BIG DAWGS!!

Bergman is already a great player. Others in this category might be Oscar Dominguez or Mitch Ellerman.

It took until the end of page 2?!?

I can't believe it took this long for someone to mention Landon Shuffett. I've had the pleasure of watching him shoot on the GSBT numerous times, and he's incredibly impressive in how he carries himself around the table. Very respectful. He has the potential to rival ALL of them, IF he decides this is what he would like to do. He's still only 15, and has every right to change his mind and stop playing if he so desires. If he keeps playing though...watch out.

I second this. Johnnyt

My first reaction is to agree also about Brianna Miller but you really never know. I remember when Tiffany Nelson first hit the scene, at 13 years old she came in second in a wpba event and everyone thought she was a lock to be a world champion or at the very least win a few wpba titles. Well 15 years later and she hasn't won a thing, i think it's a mental thing with her though.

I agree

wow he can play.
only 15 he will be the best if he keeps playing.

Landon is not only a good player already but a good person to boot. Stan , Landons father for those that dont know, is a excellent instructor. I look for Landon to be among the top players in the world some day also if he keeps playing.

Anyone know Adam Pendley and his upside? I believe he's from NC. Last year I saw him torch Michael Fuller on a 7' diamond in a tourney. He missed one shot in the set. He was 16 then, so is probably 17 now.

Adam has a pretty good future, but I wouldn't say he has the potential to be as complete a player as Landon can be. If I had to draw comparisons of where I think their potential lies, it would be like saying Landon has a chance to progress to a World Champion caliber player, while Adam could develop into a very strong regional player, who could very well take down a national level tournament one day. just my $.02

John Morra from Canada has the smoothest game around. Give that kid another year or two of seasoning and you may as well say he'll be unbeatable!
