Nice Short Grady Mathews Video - Well Done

I never knew that about glasses, so those are good-for-pool glasses. Thanks for sharing that. I learn something new every day.

I've heard of these, first time I've ever seen them, though. Nice video!

Thank you Lenny. Great video. Would love to have seen a good interviewer interview Grady. I could listen to him for hours talking about stories about players and match-ups.

Grady's the bomb.

Aside from his knowledge and commentating style and delivery (I've certainly learned a ton from his instructional videos and commentary), I still remember the total a$$-kicking he gave someone on ESPN back in the 80's. Just played perfect pool hammering balls in the pockets, you could tell he was in dead stroke and loving every minute of it... I still have it on video tape somewhere, if I can find a VCR I'll have to watch it again... :)

Unbelievable, I can watch this video over and over and could never get enough of the old man. He's truly an inspiration, I hope he ends up being alright.

Hey Jenny (or anybody)...Do you have to be a member of vimeo to view this? It doesn't seem to want to play on my laptop?

No membership Scott, it wont play on my Iphone or lap top but it plays on my desk top. I think the Hi def might be to much to ask for on my smaller machines.

Thanks Fast Lenny!

It plays just fine on my iPhone. I pulled up AZBilliards and clicked on the link in Lenny's original post and it loaded right up and played.

It is a very nice interview great sound and color.

I will try again when I have more signal or wifi, thanks.

Rufus...I just tried the same thing on my Samsung Epic. It would not play. I have a 4G phone, but live in a 3G area. Maybe that is why it won't work.
I'm going to switch to the I Phone! They just do too much, and work too well not to.

I like my iPhone Scott, but it doesn't support Flash so keep that in mind if you are going to watch a lot of video on the web that requires Flash to play.

The video is of excellent quality. Very impressive.

Are Grady's glasses on upside-down, or is this a new style?

Thanks for posting this. Grady matthews makes the best videos and does the best commentary. hands down!!!!!

For once, I agree with you.

Right when I started playing pool, a local player, who I ended up becoming good friends with, would loan me or sell me lots of Accustats DVDs. Grady's voice and commentary are permanently synonimous with certain players and tournaments in my head.

Watching this video makes me very sad. The world, with or without pool, will be worse off without Grady Mathews.

What a fantastic video! Thanks for the heads-up.

The other day, I had a pool video on the tv and my wife recognized Grady's voice! She cannot name many pool players, but she said, "Isn't that Grady Mathews talking?" I guess she's gotten to know his commentary over the years just from overhearing him time and again.

Grady seems to embrace not just the beauty of pool but also all of the stories, characters customs, camaraderie, language, gambling, and everything else that distinguishes pool from every other game or pastime. He's a top-notch player who's willing to share his knowledge and passion. Plus, he promotes the game. What could be better?

Great video. The video shows Grady's compassion for his fellow players is undeniable as well as his love for the game. He will be missed.
