i think (therefore it's not libel), that many herein want to get behind Str8 Shots & your sponsoring kids in pool, if you could help them understand:

- your philosophy,
- your business plan,
- your actual role - "sponsor" v "the promoter",
- your responsibility for confirmation of payouts,
- the name of the promoter,
- required costs for players v payouts by Str8/promoter,
- payouts in cash v In Trust (for college),
- scholarship amounts.

there are a LOT of people in the Business @ AZB, who could be great contacts to help promote your kids - if they could wrap their heads around it.

Signor Solozzo, I said that I would see you because I had heard that you were a serious man, to be treated with respect. But I must say no to you and let me give you my reasons. It's true I have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was drugs instead of gambling which they consider a harmless vice. But drugs, that's a dirty business.

Next time, if you are dissatisfied with a potential promotion....
Nut up the resources and put it on yourself. Raise the cash and buyout any impeding contractual obligations.

Hell, if TAR couldn't pull it off, it probably wasn't going to happen. But take that natural suspicion, and turn it into something positive....build it up! Not by tearing down the other guy, but by showing why you could do it better.

I have been lucky enough to be a part of a half dozen events (schools, exhibitions etc)
that I helped pull off in friggin Lincoln, Nebraska of all places. Not because I made money from it, to the contrary, my involvement meant donating time and $$$ for those events. For no other reason, than to bring them to my hometown, because nobody else bothered to do it.

There's enough juice on this board to make anything happen.....we just have to want to for the right reasons.

I like that one. My Brother did many seminars with the older Masters.
They were very dangerous men.

I like the part in the video where the attacker grabs the Senseis jacket and gets put on the mat. The guy is in a bit of pain and is tapping out with his foot.

The Sensei continues to explain to the students and seems to be oblivious to the fact that the guy is tapping out. Looks like a rough Dojo.

My Brothers Dojo was known in Canada to be one of the rougher ones. If you went to practice there, you knew that shoulder dislocations among other things were a definite
possibility.

It was fortunate that the Senseis also knew how to put shoulders and other joints back in place.

A fellow by the name of Virgil used to practice on myself frequently. He would hit a preasure point that would continue to cause some pretty extreme pain even after he let go of
you. Virgil would lightly touch whatever part of my body that was hurting and as simple as he put me in pain, he took me out of it. Amazing.

How often is anyone attacked by such inept people? Old man tip-toeing around and a bunch of young men tripping over themselves?

Throw him in the cage with any of today's MMA fighters in his weight class and there wouldn't be anything that resembled a fight....just a hurt old man.

Hate to tell you this Dave but its more than real. Aikido is one of the most deadliest arts.

I would doubt that you would last more than 3 seconds with any of supposed Old Men.

While yer at it, check out a few more videos on UTube of Aikido.

I have experienced it first hand and can tell you, its anything but phony.

The flips that you see these guys doing. They have no choice in the matter. trust me on that. It does looks so easy that it does look very staged.

There are simple preasure points that can make you scream like a little school girl.

I had one done on myself on my shin.

Virgil knelt on the floor, he told me to kick him. I did and he caught me by the shin.
2 thumbs into that point on my shin and it felt like my leg was broken.

I have a rather large walking stick by my back door. Another time, Virgil tossed it to me and asked me to come at him with it. I had it with both hands, I lunged at his face
as with a sword.

He grabbed the stick and made a circular motion. My wrist and hand were now bound by that stick. Now, one might think that if you are holding a stick with one hand, easy, just let go. I was unable to let go. he was then able to manipulate the stick and I had no choice but to follow.

The more you resist a hold in Aikido, the more it hurst and that is exactly how it works.

The holds and preasure points require nothing but a slight amount of preasure.
The trick is, the more you resist, the more it hurts. You're the one that is responsible for the hurt that you lay on yourself, not the person who is doing it to you.

There are generally 3 points to any move. They can just put you down and hold you unable to do anything. They can do that and apply more presure
and make you hurt like a SOB. They can easily apply more presure and snap, your joint is now out of place or broken.

It is a very amazing art.

You could watch some of the videos of the person who combines both Aikido and Krav Maga. I doubt that there is any cage fighter around that would stand a chance with him.

Find me an example of a prize fighter, cage fighter etc...professional fighter in a match against some Aikido master. ( not in some dojo ) but a sanctioned fight.

I personally like Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu.

The guys that are fighting in cage matches now (MMA) will kill an Aikido master.

I'm just asking for something to make me consider that my position might be wrong.


Maybe we should start our own thread instead of hijacking this one :)
