Nude Avatars/BS

You really find this avtar offensive? I was in a pool tourney a couple weeks back maybe 100 people in the hall and a waitress about 20 had a low cut shirt on and the only person I herd complain about it was a 55 ish year old woman who came in for the last couple hours to watch the games. Never herd a peep from the other 99.

suggestive pics have been around the site for a lot longer than a few months.....

everybody is going to complain no matter what you post..... so the easiest thiing is that if YOU dont like avatars...(suggestive come with the terriotory)..the YOU can turn them off.... however those that dont mind them dont have a alternate avenue to make them happy....

so ....the power to make the most folks happy and offer the most "personal options" lies in NOT censoring folks avatars.....if they fit in the terms of service agreements....of course.

sorry.. .if you dont like the music...change the channel...on your own radio!!!

You can't say the word Beeeeeeee itch but you can post very sexual women poses, who drew that line in the sand on the forum

If this is the type of avatar that people find offensive, you can find the same stuff on the cover of Maxim magazine in the grocery store, where countless kids and adults of all ages walk past and see.

What's the point of having all the naked women Krap on the avatars'?? There are allot of kids out there visiting our site, I thought this was a BILLIARD WEBSITE. We all (kids too) get blitzed enough with todays marketing gurus, personally I feel it should be NOT be part of this fourum. I never see this type of stuff in BD or P&B magazines, why should it be here? If AZ is representing the billiard world via the Net, let the smut and sex find another place for its home.
AZ wake up!!!!

I feel your question is a fair question, and the intimate discussion on what is correct for AZBilliards Forum IMHO rest with what the team or moderators, and forum owner will allow. Mike Howerton, aka AZHousePro is the Forum Owner, pay the bills, is the guy will all the responsibility, and everyone else is a guest in MIKES HOUSE. IMHO that give Mike the last word on what is and what is no acceptable. NUFF Said for now.

Nope,
but I'll call Rob Johnson at the BCA and tell em we here at the AZ website think the Jr. Nationals should go back into the smokey, alcohol bad language atmosphere just 'because' its everywhere else in our society so we/us billiard enthusiasts will keep our status quo with society and only affirm their position on pool as being what its always been and will always be. Yeah lets not in any SMALL way try and help out our image to the American public, lets just support moreso what they already think and envision us as.

I have raised two daughters and keeping them away from this type of stuff can only do good, if you think your kids should be exposed to this then GO for it.
Womens image from marketing and advertising only makes them look cheap.

Rutroh ! I feel another Poll coming...

Let's see...

What should be allowable?

Only women fully dressed with skirts below the knees and no cleavage?

Women wth legal street wear like mini-mini whatever and lots of cleavage?

No bathing suits?

No string Bikinis?

No thong bikinis?

Or only women holding Bibles in there hands while their man is shooting for $50K?

Where do we start this censorship???

I posted one of the first thongs and got so many inquiries about if I knew the woman in the pic and who she was, that I had to fess up that I copied it from a thong ad from a public online bikini and undergarment store. My problem is I violated the copyright laws but I DO NOT recall them requiring me do an age verification before I went onto their site. I pulled mine, because I thought maybe I was crossing the line, but wasn't sure. It was ALL IN FUN.

Oh by the way, I am curious how someone posting an avatar with the Christian symbolism would feel if someone stepped up and said.. " Hey, this is a billiards site and I am an athiest that takes offense at your Bible thumping avatar."

Cast not the first stone, lest ye want some hurled back.

Now, let the religious wars begin. :D

You have my support on this issue ...

I thought this was a billiard web site plain and simple, I just don't understand why we NEED to constantly show women in provacative poses, I guess it must be IMPORTANT because AZ lets it happen, but, what's their reasoning?

I found/joined this Forum for Pool & Billiards discussion ... Do we need Avatars at all ? ... NO ... Do we need a NPR forum ? ... NO !!! ... The "powers that be" must feel we DO or they wouldn't be here ... Once you "open the gate", every one and every thing will pass through ...

If anyone is offended by MY Avatar, please say so and it will be removed ...

Hey man, if you're gonna insult someone at least say it right.

Hopefully you have raised your girls to be secure enough in their own skin that some guys 1 inch picture on a internet pool forum isnt going to :
#1 ...make them feel like they need to go puke up lunch in order to stay a certain size
#2... Make them feel like going and getting a tramp stamp and swingin form a pole in ryhtmic time with Tommy lee's beats and Vince Neil's lyrics....
#3... make them think any less of us "pool player" types.. b/c hopefully they are not that shallow....

"if you think your kids should be exposed to this then GO for it" hmmmmm

I understand where your coming from and what u are saying, you sound like your a protective father and feel shielding your kids and other people from realites of life in the year 2008 is the right thing to do, I have no problem with that! its your opinion, I have learned not to argue an opinion but to voice my opinion an move on. Clearly imho you are the type of person who will not be happy with the way things are run unless it is run your way and i mean in work and in life, am I right? Nothing wrong with that either but you have to learn balance. This is not any kind of personal attack just my opinion.

Thank You Bruce.

I was looking at a cue to buy. I called my wife in to look at it. The avatar of the seller was one in question. My wife seen the avatar and asked: What kind of site is this? Then said there is no way she would let me buy a cue from that person. Then walked away. Therefore that may have cost that seller a sale. I don't really need her permission but just wanted her opinion.
