Aside from "cue" or "case" what is something that you'd always like to have with you whenever playing pool?

I like to have a glove if I know the bar I'm going to has tons of powder on the cues.

my own chalk
I bring my own chalk with me also if the table has the same as I use I leave mine in the bag. I sand the cube into a cylinder (knock of the corners) and then put a piece of electrical tape around it to keep my hands clean. it is easier to get out of my pocket and more comfortable.

Gotta be my chalk holder. I am so used to using it that I am lost without it. If I play somewhere and do not have it I am constantly reaching for the damned thing. I lost the chalk holder section once and stopped playing till I found it!

CASH!!

Once I walked into a poolroom and there was a guy that wanted to play $100 sets. I had to get staked by a stranger to pay. Worse player I ever played, I could have given him the world and still win.

Bottom line, he lost $1800 and I got half. Lesson learned.

It's funny how something so small can be such a big part of your routine.

Tip Tapper

It's been on my keychain since the early 70's (ouch). But even if I didn't have that tip-tapper, I would have a COORS in my hand. :embarrassed2:

GEEZ, before I read this thread I was sure most everyone would say "Bankroll." Pool leagues and tournaments, the times they are a changing.

"Tip tool" and "Towel" are important for the evening... once the kids have gone to bed and so long as the wife is still awake. lol

000 steel wool for me (I have yet to find 00000 steel wool). There's not even a close second.

I can go without a tip tool (sniper tips are durable). I can live without powder, as the steel wool smooths out a sticky stroke. I can use crappy chalk if I have to. 000 steel wool does more things than a glove.

I can not play good pool with a sticky or funky shaft.
