just telling everyone here a bit about me, i noticed this forum is alot of comments but not alot of relationships here, unlike most forums, its all good, i just want to be respected, believed, i'm not a one upper, i dont care what some one makes as long as they are happy, i hate to see people suffer-unless they bring it on themselfs, so now you know Fatboy a bit better, btw i weight 250 now because of back problems i'm just over 6'1" and usually weigh 235-240 so i'm not that fat, just an old name in the pool room from 20 years ago, i'm 40.

I do not have much, however I come from the same back ground that you speak of above, which was having nothing. I work very hard for what I have, and I appreciate and I am proud of my accomplishments.
But, when it comes down to judging my true worth all I have to do is look at the people I surround myself, the same people I call friends, and there is really where my wealth lyes.
So, I suspect in the end we are not remembered for what we have, as much as the effect we have had on others throughout our lives good or bad.

I think you're a bit younger and maybe wiser than I. It just took a bit longer for me to get it. Being a child of the 60's, 70's 80's & 90's...I think a bit of brain damage was done. I also think I pm'd you. But I don't really know. Confused after midnight. I must be getting old.

This will be an interesting auction not sure it will go to a dealer, with the rarity of Gus Cues of this quality out there for sale most collectors know the mark up from brokers so there may be some people on the side line. Remember this isnt a lot money for high end collectors.
I have heard of Balabushka's going from private collection to private collection for $100k and Gus cues approaching that as well.

Thats what makes this auction very exciting. He refused to sell it off line to the snakes, (i really wish people would report this, so more people get their ID's yanked) and its a let it ride auction. The fact a cue this rare came to light, and their are notable collectors that usually don't buy from the bay. I bet, and hope, they make an exception here.

Up to over 40K now, I think the current bidder is pretty serious about the cue.

I happen to be very good friends with Will and have spoken to him at lenght about this cue..
We have agreed that both of us like the cue, but don't want to ruin it for each other..
This cue fits PERFECTLY in Will's beautiful collection, and I hope he ends up with it..
