Old Tad Blanks

I was reading another thread about Pawn Shop and Garage Sale finds and thought I would post an unbelievable find:

A friend of mine bought about 20 Tad blanks from a garage sale that were made about 25-30 years ago. He bought them from a lady whose husband had passed away who was friends with Tad. This guy worked a couple of units down from Tad (have a business card to prove it) way back when and Tad gave this guy some blanks to finish. He never finished them. I will eventually be posting pictures of these blanks in the future. This is not joke and is absolutely true. The blanks are at various stages of completion and have shafts with them.

Great score!

At league some guy stumbled in drunk with a cue. I immediately knew it was a Tad. He said his ex girlfriend's dad made it for him 20 years ago, blah, blah. I have no idea if he was full of "it" or not. I thought he was trying to hustle at first but he really just sucked and didn't know his cue was worth a couple thousand. He almost left it sitting in the corner at the bar that night. He didn't take care of it a bit. I should have offered him $50, he probably would have jumped on it but I didn't want to swindle anyone.

Wouldn't they still be Tad's property?

Would love to see the photo's, sounds like a great find.
 
I will try and post some pictures this weekend if possible. When you see them you will clearly see they are Tad blanks. I will also take a picture of the Business Card of Tads friend who was 2 or 3 units down from Tad's old shop.

I'm sure when I post the business card and the pictures of the Tad blanks you will be a believer. I'm sure an Azer who knows Tad will also confirm that Tad did give some blanks to business friend (if somebody hasn't called Tad already).

I think he wants to sell them in a collection. I will be taking pictures of the unfinished Tad blanks on Wednesday night. I found out they are date stamped 1973 (I don't remember what month or day but will take pictures of the dates).
 
Tad Blanks

I took pictures last night of the Tad blanks. I hadn't seen them for around 4 years and I must now say they are not "clearly Tad blanks" as I have previously stated. I do still believe they are Tad blanks and will post the pictures in a couple of days (I have league tonight). I have asked a fellow Azer who is going to try and confirm that these are Tad blanks. I have given this Azer the address next to Tad's business in 1973 and the name of the person that Tad gave the blanks to and he is going to try and confirm this story.
